The Hip-Hop community is mourning after the senseless murder of Florida rapper XXXTentacion on Monday afternoon (Jun. 18). The 20-year-old was shot dead as he was leaving a Deerfield Beach motorcycle dealership by a masked gunman. At 5:40 p.m., XXXTentacion was pronounced dead by the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Department. The killing has sent social media into a frenzy, mainly due to XXXTentacion’s trouble past, including a domestic violence case related to attacking his pregnant girlfriend.

Kanye West, 6ix9ine, Big Sean, DJ Premier, Diplo, Pusha T, Royce Da 5’9″, Lil’ Pump and more took to their social media accounts to send their condolences and react to the news. “This got me fucked up. RIP X. Enormous talent and limitless potential and a strong desire to be a better person. God bless his family, friends and fans,” tweeted J. Cole to his millions of followers. The news of XXXTentacion’s passing has been the No. 1 worldwide trend on Twitter for hours.

Wale is in control and puts his foot down in the music video, “Negotiations.” In support of his Self Promotion EP, Folarin hits the boxing ring and grid iron, working up a sweat in the Chris Hernandez-directed visual. The MMG rapper is also seen hitting the board room, not letting shady executives trying to lock him down to an unfulfilling contract. Wale is currently working on his sixth studio album, due later this year via a newly signed deal with Warner Bros. Records.

Breaking news is coming out of South Florida. XXXTentacion reportedly was gunned down on Monday afternoon (Jun. 18) in what appears to be a targeted attack. According to TMZ, the 20-year-old was at a motorcycle dealership shopping for motorcycles in Deerfield Beach, FL. As he was leaving in an all-black Lamborghini, an unknown gunman rap up to the car and shot the Florida rapper. Shortly after the gunfire, witnesses gathered around the car and XXXTentacion reportedly had no pulse.

XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, has had a long history of beefs and feuds though recently that seemed to have calmed down. The controversial rapper was awaiting trial relating to a domestic violence case against his pregnant girlfriend. He was facing over a dozen felony charges, plus prosecutors accused him of witness tampering.

Miguel is returning to the road this summer. After wrapping up his “War & Leisure” tour back in April, the R&B singer has announced “The Ascension” North American tour. The 25-date trek kicks off Aug. 23 in Boston, making stops in Toronto, Washington, Dallas, Los Angeles, Portland, and Vancouver before wrapping up on Sept. 28 in Seattle. A bulk of the tour stops will coincide with major music festivals in Brooklyn (AFROPUNK), Chicago (North Coast), Philadelphia (Made In America), Atlanta (OneMusic Fest) and Las Vegas (Life Is Beautiful).

Joining Miguel as supporting act will be OVO Sound’s dvsn, who wrapped up their own “Morning After” world tour earlier this year. Fans who are Citi Cardmember can access ticket pre-sales starting Tuesday (Jun. 19) at 10 a.m. local time. General public tickets go on-sale this Firday (Jun. 22) at 10 a.m. local time here.
