The music industry continues to mourn after the sudden death of model/actress Kim Porter on Thursday (Nov. 15). Porter, who was the ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has three kids with the Bad Boy CEO. After being silent for three days, the mogul took to social media to tribute the mother to his 20-year-old son Christian and 11-year-old twin daughters Jessie James and D’Lila.

For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” says Diddy. “But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SHIT!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love.” The cause of Porter’s death is still unknown to this point. TMZ reports the 47-year-old had been sick with pneumonia for several weeks. Rihanna, Missy Elliott, Drake, 50 Cent and more have paid tribute to Porter following her sudden passing.

Kim Porter, model-actress, passed away at age 47 on Thursday (Nov. 15). TMZ reports the ex-wife of Sean “Diddy” Combs was found dead at her Los Angeles area home around noon. Law enforcement and paramedics arrived at Porter’s Toluca Lake home after family members went to wake her up and she was non-responsive. The cause of her death is unknown but a source close to Kim tells TMZ she has been suffering flu-like symptoms and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks. Porter and Diddy started dating in 1994, as their relationship faced several breakups and makeups, finally coming to an end in 2017.

The couple have three kids together – twin girls Jessie James and D’Lila who were born in 2006, and their son Christian Combs, born in 1998. Porter also has a son Quincy Brown, from her previous relationship with singer Al B. Sure!. Porter, Diddy and their full family were seen together last on October 30th, as they attended the premiere for Quincy’s movie, The Holiday Calendar. Artists like Rihanna, Drake, 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, Questlove and more have taken to social media to express their condolences following the shocking news.

Today’s Kanye West headline comes from the man himself. On Tuesday (Oct. 30), the Chicago artist/designer took to Twitter to announce he’s taking a step back from politics, after many controversial statements and moves including his support of President Donald Trump. “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!,” said Kanye in a tweet.

West also claims he “never wanted any association” with BLEXIT, the right-wing group founded by Candace Owens. Owens previously revealed Kanye as a designer for BLEXIT merchandise, later clarifying that ‘Ye only offered advice and referred an unnamed designer to help with the clothing. “I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it,” he says. See the tweets below.

Cardi B turned herself in to local police in New York City, related to an incident this past summer where the Bronx star was involved in an altercation at a strip club. The hitmaker was charged with two misdemeanors: assault and reckless endangerment. Back in the summer, Cardi allegedly ordering an attack on two bartenders at Angels Strip Club in Queens NY. The bartenders, Jade and Baddie Gi, said their long-standing beef stems from Cardi believing Jade had slept with her husband Offset. The Migos were set to perform at the strip club that night, and Cardi came face-to-face with the two bartenders. At that point, the rapper allegedly ordered her crew to attack the pair by throwing bottles and chairs. The 2 women were both hurt but refused medical attention.

On Monday (Oct. 1), a blonde Cardi was all smiles as she turned herself into police custody. A mug shot was taken and she was fingerprinted. She is scheduled to be arraigned on October 29.

The music world is still in mourning and reeling after Mac Miller’s sudden death, due to a reported drug overdose exactly one week ago today (Sept. 14). One person who has kept silent and has been grieving privately is Ariana Grande, Miller’s ex-girlfriend. The pair had been dating for two years until the couple ended their relationship earlier this year. Its was reported at the time that one of the reasons the relationship ended was due to Miller’s addiction issues. Now a week later, Grande has dedicated an emotional post to her ex-boyfriend.

i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long,” said the singer. “above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”

We’re sad to report that Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, has passed away at the age of 76. According to AP, Franklin died Thursday morning from pancreatic cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2010.

With the NFL season only one month away, EA Sports’ Madden 19 is set to launch next week on August 10. Nicki Minaj, Quavo and Lil’ Dicky star in a new ad for the popular video game franchise, which was unveiled on Thursday (Aug. 2). As usual, some lucky fans in the gaming and sports world got early access to the game and soon after gamers noticed Big Sean’s Colin Kaepernick lyric on YG’s “Big Bank” was censored.

The Hip-Hop community is mourning after the senseless murder of Florida rapper XXXTentacion on Monday afternoon (Jun. 18). The 20-year-old was shot dead as he was leaving a Deerfield Beach motorcycle dealership by a masked gunman. At 5:40 p.m., XXXTentacion was pronounced dead by the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Department. The killing has sent social media into a frenzy, mainly due to XXXTentacion’s trouble past, including a domestic violence case related to attacking his pregnant girlfriend.

Kanye West, 6ix9ine, Big Sean, DJ Premier, Diplo, Pusha T, Royce Da 5’9″, Lil’ Pump and more took to their social media accounts to send their condolences and react to the news. “This got me fucked up. RIP X. Enormous talent and limitless potential and a strong desire to be a better person. God bless his family, friends and fans,” tweeted J. Cole to his millions of followers. The news of XXXTentacion’s passing has been the No. 1 worldwide trend on Twitter for hours.

SZA recently stepped off TDE’s “The Championship” tour due to swollen vocal cords. “Her vocal cords are swollen and she have to rest her voice to prevent any permanent damage,” said TDE CEO Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith in a statement. The Grammy-nominated singer surprised fans by appearing on stage during the tour’s stop at Madison Square Garden in NYC on Tuesday night (May 29). Shortly after performing, SZA broke some sad news to her loyal fans.

With a hand in various albums set to arrive this summer, Kanye West’s recent promo run on Twitter maybe his most controversial moment. On Wednesday (Apr. 26), the artist/designer tweeted in support of U.S. President Donald Trump. “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” said Kanye. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”
