Stand-up comic and actor Robin Williams has died of an apparent suicide at the age of 63. His body was found at his home in Tiburon, CA, and the Marin County coroner is attributing his death to suicide by asphyxiation. While his rep did not specifically confirm that the frenetic, often self-deprecating, hyper-wit comedian committed suicide, a released statement does suggest as much:

“Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”

After security broke up the scrum and escorted both parties backstage, Wale would later return to watch the fights in the ring.

chris brown

Having recently left rehab after completing his court-ordered 90-day anger management treatment, Chris Brown’s focus is firmly back to music; just over the weekend he announced the release date (May 5) for his forthcoming X album and dropped a new track off his joint LP with Tyga, Fan of a Fan 2. But it appears Breezy is still caught up in some drama. Yesterday he accused his former manager Tina Davis of leaking music off his new album and refusing to return his back up hard drive.

Chris has since deleted the tweet, but later wrote, “Snakes in the grass….. Just stay positive.” Davis responded to his claims on Twitter by writing, “Trace it! Find out where it originated from… RCA can do that for you. Then send a defaming tweet out on who really did it.” She, too, deleted her tweet.

Tina Davis managed Chris Brown since the start of his career before parting ways earlier this year. Breezy is now represented by Def Jam VP of A&R, Bu Thiam.

In part two of his conversation with Hot 97′s Angie Martinez, ScHoolboy Q opens up on his well known addiction to Lean (Promethazine/Codeine Syrup). Q breaks down how his addiction to pills first started, which eventually lead into regular usage of Lean. He flashes back to an unforgettable moment at SXSW where he was unable to move, and reveals his sex life is so affected that he would choose syrup over a night with the hottest woman (in this case, actress Jennifer Lawrence).

After spending two years working on his upcoming Oxymoron album (Feb. 25), ScHoolboy Q feels the addiction has affected his music so much so that he sucks right now and refuses to do any features. Despite everything, Q says he’s in a happy place and will stop using syrup after his “Oxymoron” tour ends on June 1 to focus on the next album.

big boi

Bittersweet news for OutKast fans today. Despite the continual circulation of rumors and theories, the most vocal half of the duo, Big Boi, confirmed the news that none of us wanted to hear but we all knew was coming anyway: there is no new OutKast album in the works. “No, no, no. We’re just doing the tour only, just for the fans,” he told Revolt. “That’s all it is, just the tour.”

The good news, however, is that Fat Sax is working on new mixtape which he said could drop in the next few weeks. The project, inspired by the hit TV series Game of Thrones, will also feature appearances from Common, Wale and “a couple surprise guests.” Don’t forget, Big Boi is also working on his third solo album, due later this year.
