Lil Wayne reportedly suffered another seizure while aboard his private jet. According to reports, Weezy was jetsetting from Milwaukee to California when the episode happened. The New Orleans rapper apparently “blacked out” but is now “alert” and received medical attention from paramedics after his plane made an emergency landing in Omaha.

Last week, one person was shot dead and three people injured during T.I.’s concert at NYC’s Irving Plaza. Troy Ave was formally charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon on Monday (May 30), to which the rapper pleaded not guilty to all charges in Manhattan Criminal Court following his release from hospital.

The ramifications from that incident are now trickling down as concert goers are now being penalized, as a handful of upcoming shows have been cancelled.

T.I. headlined a concert at New York City’s Irving Plaza on Wednesday night (May 25), that also included Maino, Uncle Murda, Troy Ave, Anderson .Paak, and PNB Rock on the bill. The show abruptly came to an end after multiple shots rang out following an altercation that started in the third floor green room before spilling into the crowd according to witnesses on the scene. The shooting left 1 person dead and 3 people wounded as the scene turned into chaos as people rushed to exit the popular concert venue.

According to various sources including WPIX 11, XXL, and FADER, rapper Troy Ave was one of the wounded people, grazed in the leg by a bullet. Another wounded person turned out to be the girlfriend of a friend of 50 Cent. WPIX 11 reports that 50 Cent visited the victim at Bellevue Hospital.

T.I. was not performing or involved in the incident.

The news of Prince’s death has shocked the world, as many continue to mourn the fallen icon. Celebrities such as President Obama, Justin Timberlake, Oprah, Lil’ Wayne, R. Kelly, Chaka Khan, Rita Ora, The Weeknd, Questlove and more took to various social media platforms and media outlets to express their condolences over Prince’s passing.

For Frank Ocean, the Grammy Award-winning singer wrote a letter to the legendary vocalist, posting the tribute on Tumblr. In the lengthy letter, Frank reveals “When You Were Mine” off 1980’s Dirty Mind is his favorite Prince song, and touches on how the singer made an impact outside of music, helping him identify with his sexuality.

Thank technology for the livestream. No seriously, you may judge for me sounding ungrateful for having the privilege of obtaining press credentials (free passes!) for all the major musical festivals in America with a single e-mail. But as a veteran of SXSW, Coachella, Governors Ball, etc. — my days as a cheerful, green “festival journalist” have come and gone, man. DJ/producer pioneer Chuck Chillout announced the news on Twitter early Wednesday morning (Mar. 23), followed by DJ/producer Statik Selektah later confirming the news.

The music world lost a legend, as Maurice White has passed away. White, 74, was the co-founder and leader of the legendary funk group Earth, Wind & Fire. Maurice passed away at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.

My brother, hero and best friend Maurice White passed away peacefully last night in his sleep,” Earth, Wind & Fire member Verdine White said in a statement to The Associated Press. “While the world has lost another great musician and legend, our family asks that our privacy is respected as we start what will be a very difficult and life changing transition in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.” The group also posted a message on Twitter saying, “Our brother Maurice White passed peacefully in his sleep this morning. The light is he, shining on you and me.”

Many, including Magic Johnson, Questlove, Q-Tip, and Juicy J took the time to send their condolences via social media on Thursday evening. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards on Feb. 15 in Los Angeles.

Singer Natalie Cole passed away on Thursday night in Los Angeles confirms a publicist. The daughter of the legendary Nat King Cole died at the age of 65, from congestive heart failure. Natalie’s kidney troubles dates back to 2008, when she was diagnosed with hepatitis C. In 2009, Cole underwent a successful kidney transplant at at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Natalie had previously attributed her illness to her battles trying to stop using ocaine and heroin. She had been sober for a while following a few stints in a rehabilitation clinic. A six-time Grammy Award winner, Natalie Cole will best be remembered for the classics “This Will Be” and “Unforgettable.”

It is with heavy hearts that we bring to you all the news of our Mother and sister’s passing,” a rep says in a statement released to TMZ. “Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived..with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved Mother and sister will be greatly missed and remain UNFORGETTABLE in our hearts forever.”
