Chris Brown

Love, peace, and soul was high at the 2014 Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. Taped last month at the Orleans Arena, the 27th annual hosted by Wendy Williams, debuted on BET and Centric on Sunday night. Opening this year’s show was R&B superstar Chris Brown, who took viewers down memory lane with a medley of past hits of “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” “Take You Down” and “Say Goodbye” before heading into radio-smashes from this year, “New Flame” and “Loyal.”

Other performers from the night included Ma$e and R&B newcomer Justine Skye, Tinashe, legendary R&B group Jodeci, who performed together for the first-time since 2006, debuting their new single “Nobody Wins” with by B.o.B, plus Nico and Vinz, Tank, Machel Montano, “Nae Nae” group We Are Toonz, and the ladies night reunion of Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim, and Da Brat performing their “Not Tonight (Remix).”

Last year at this time, music lovers were making their way at various venues across North America to watch Kanye West’s spectacular “Yeezus” tour. Months after the tour’s first leg ended, West released a trailer for the Hype Williams-directed film that was set to hit theatres, documenting the first 38-dates of Yeezy’s stadium tour.

Sadly, it appears the official tour film won’t come to light anytime soon, so fans have taken matters into their own hands. A member of the fan-site named John Colandra spent seven months, compiling professional and gorilla style footage off YouTube of nearly every stop on the unforgettable tour, to create one cohesive film. From every angle possible captured by fans during the electric spectacle, you can now watch the 2-hour show, including Kendrick Lamar’s opening set below.

With his third solo LP now 10 days away, J. Cole held a special listening session for fans on Saturday at the household he grew up in at 2014 Forest Hills Drive in Fayettville, North Carolina. The address, which serves as the title for his third solo album due December 9, welcomed fans of the Roc Nation rapper from all over the world, as people traveled from places such as Las Vegas and even London, England to met J. Cole and get their first listen of the follow-up to 2013’s Born Sinner.

Hours later, the official tracklisting to J. Cole’s new album was released online. Consisting of 13 tracks and no guest features, 2014 Forest Hills Drive includes titles such as “January 28th,” “03’ Adolescence,” “No Role Modelz,” “Love Yourz,” and the 14-minute closer “Note to Self.” Available for pre-order on iTunes, check out the full titles below.
