Remember when Spotify removed degenerates like XXXTentacion and R. Kelly from its playlists and then pulled a 180 after industry figures (including, disappointingly, Kendrick Lamar) protested because they wrongly interpreted it as all-out censorship? (Why anyone would be against censoring XXX and Kellz in the first place is beyond me.) It appears they’ve found a solution that should keep everyone happy.

With millions of their users sharing links and screenshots all over the popular social app, the streaming company decided to make it easier for everyone with the new “Share to Instagram Stories” option. From Instagram, a viewer then has the option to simply click on “Play On SoundCloud” right from the story.

With Instagram playing a huge role in how music is promoted and heard in today’s world, this definitely benefits both companies. Seeing how both Spotify and SoundCloud are available for free use to the public, it doesn’t seem Apple will be eager to jump on board for the new integration due to their pay-only subscription.

The feature launched this past Tuesday and is available on the latest versions of the SoundCloud and Instagram mobile apps on iOS and Android.

Drake had social media buzzing during the early hours of Thursday morning (Mar. 15). The Canadian superstar took a break from the studio, to hop on his Playstation 4 to play Fortnite with professional esports player and popular Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. An event that’s been planned for days, Drake finally made time from his busy schedule to team up with Ninja shortly after midnight. After tweeting the live stream to his 36 million Twitter followers, Drizzy soon created a frenzy online, even getting artists like Lil’ Yachty, Logic and Travi$ Scott wanting to join in. Scott would eventually join the game action, along with NFL player JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Drake (PSN ID TheBoyDuddas) and Scott (PSN ID cactus_jackk92) teamed up with Ninja for about four hours of gaming action. The live stream set a new streaming record on Twitch, as over 600,000 viewers tuned in, easily smashing the previous record of 388,000 live concurrent viewers. During the stream Drake said he has been playing Fortnite for a month or two, and plays with his OVO crew as a much needed break from 20-hour recording sessions. The 6 God also revealed he has been recording most of his new album in Miami and in his home studio.
