The 44th season of Saturday Night Live premieres this weekend with a bang. Kanye West will take to the stage as musical guest, as Star Wars actor Adam Driver serves as guest host. All eyes will be on Kanye, who is also releasing his new album YANDHI on the same day. Before the upcoming television appearance, Kanye, Adam Driver and Kenan Thompson star in SNL‘s promo spot before the season premiere airs. Keeping a straight face and wearing the controversial “Make America Great Again” hat made famous by President Trump, Kanye keeps quiet until revealing what his Star Wars character would be named.

This summer has been loaded with huge album releases from some of Hip-hop’s biggest stars like JAY-Z (with Beyoncé), Drake, Nas, Kanye West, YG, Jay Rock, Mac Miller and more. On Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a new segment of Mean Tweets returned starring a lot of today’s stars in rap music. Lil’ Wayne, 50 Cent, A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, and Big Sean read off random disrespectful comments in their Twitter mentions. T-Pain, Eve, Pusha T, Remy Ma, Rae Sremmurd, Anderson. Paak, DJ Khaled, Trippie Redd, Logic, Lil’ Yachty, Wale, Ty Dolla $ign and Yo Gotti also guest appear in the hilarious segment.

With her new album Queen set to drop on June 15th, Nicki Minaj is bringing the promotion in overdrive. The Young Money Queen appears on the season finale of Saturday Night Live this weekend alongside actress Tina Fey. Days before the show airs, Minaj and Fey appear in a promo spot for the upcoming episode. In the clip, the two playfully discuss doing a sketch together about two cops who are also best friends.

The clip comes two days after Nicki revealed in an Instagram post that she will be filming a movie with Fey following SNL.

For the latest installment in their PLAN B series, All Def Music links with “Plug Walk” rapper Rich The Kid. Before he transitioned into Billboard Chart topping boss we see today, Rich was briefly employed at Wendy’s. Looking to redeem himself after being fired from the fast-food staple, the ATL native had the opportunity to manage Dino’s Burgers for the day.

The powerful Top Dawg Entertainment will embark on the “The Championship Tour” this summer, running from May 4-June 16. The 30-date North American trek stars all artists on the music label including Kendrick Lamar, SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR, Lance Skiiiwalker, Zacari and Isaiah Rashad. In anticipation of the huge tour, TDE drops an entertaining four-minute commercial.

Days after invading Saturday Night Live, Cardi B continued her NBC studios takeover by co-hosting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (Apr. 9). Serving as the first person to ever co-host the late-night talk show, Cardi B instantly won the studio audience with her bubbly, carefree personality. The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker joined Jimmy Fallon for a hilarious opening monologue, and pulled a fan from the crowd to record a custom voicemail.

The glowing mother-to-be spoke on the decision to reveal her pregnancy on SNL, and mothers outside of the studio were quizzed on the Bronx star. The 25-year-old would later assist Fallon to interview guest John Mulaney, and went head-to-head against the late-night host in a game of Box Of Lies. The Bardi takeover on The Tonight Show closed with the first live performance of “Money Bag,” off her Invasion of Privacy debut album. Watch all the highlights below.

The Migos will invade Saturday Night Live this weekend, with special guest host Charles Barkley. Ahead of the live broadcast, the Atlanta trio and NBA Hall of Famer appear in a new promo spot for the upcoming episode. In the clip, Sir Charles gets ahead of himself, interrupting Offset and SNL‘s Kate McKinnon going back-and-forth with their personal shout outs. Quavo, Offset and Takeoff will appear as musical guests, performing tracks off their No. 1 album CULTURE II.

The 2018 NFL Super Bowl takes place this weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN. The most-watched sporting event every year, companies seize the moment with big-budget commercials that air during the football spectacle. Amazon is one of the big name companies set to debut a new commercial on Sunday night, with help from a few stars including Cardi B. In the full viral ad debuted on Wednesday (Jan. 31), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper takes the place of Amazon’s popular virtual assistant Alexa. Alexa, who loses her voice, is replaced by a list of celebrities including Cardi, Anthony Hopkins, Rebel Wilson, Gordon Ramsay and more.

D.R.A.M., aka Big Baby D.R.A.M., is making a light change to his stage name. The Virginia artist is dropping the periods from his alias. To make the announcement, DRAM stars in a hilarious Funny Or Die spoof of The Maury Povich Show. Co-starring Funny Or Die‘s Ryan Perez, DRAM is on the hot seat, claiming he’s not the father of the four periods (kids). The “Broccoli” rapper takes a paternity test, and the results shows the periods don’t belong to him. Filled with drama and a whole lot of cursing, watch the funny revelation below.

The 2017 MTV VMAs belong to Kendrick Lamar. Not only did Kung Fu Kenny open the show with a blazing set, the Compton rapper took home the most awards. Lamar, who was nominated for 8 VMAs, walked away with six victories including “Video of the Year” for “HUMBLE.” The TDE MC also won “Best Hip-Hop Video” and “Best Cinematography” for “HUMBLE.” Ed Sheeran got a moonman for “Artist of the Year,” the first time male and female musicians went head-to-head in that category. Khalid won “Best New Artist,” while Lil’ Uzi Vert’s “XO TOUR Llif3” got him “Song of the Summer.”

Other winners on Sunday night included Kanye West and Teyana Taylor (Best Choreography), Gucci Mane (Best Pop) and Young Thug (Best Editing). P!nk accepted the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, while the mother of Charlottesville victim Heather Heyer declared all six nominees for “Best Fight Against the System” winners in an emotional moment.

Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Travi$ Scott, KYLE, Logic with Alessia Cara and Khalid all performed at the 2017 VMAs hosted by Katy Perry. Check out red carpet photos here and see the full winners list below.
