After releasing a handful of teasers over the past week, David Letterman kicks off the second season of his My Next Guest Needs No Introduction Netflix special. Kanye West is one of the stars who Letterman sits down with, as the two cover a wide range of topics during the in-depth interview. In the 55-minute conversation, Kanye speaks on mental health issues and his bipolar disorder. The rapper/designer cites the passing of his mother, Donda West, for the root of his mental issues that he’s kept stable since being diagnosed 2 years ago.

Kanye also touches on his controversial support of President Donald Trump, the backlash he’s received, his popular Sunday Service gatherings, the #MeToo movement, artists that inspire him like James Turrell, fatherhood, and more. Letterman is also given a tour of Kanye’s mansion, where the former late-night television host is dressed in various pieces from West’s Yeezy collection. My Next Guest Needs No Introduction also features conversations with Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Lewis Hamilton and Melinda Gates.

Since the release of his GRAMMY-nominated album In My Mind, BJ the Chicago Kid has been strady working. The singer is currently finishing up his new album entitled 1123. Described as “a celebratory moment” by the Windy City crooner, BJ gives fans a taste of whats to come with the single “Worryin’ Bout Me.” The mid-tempo features a guest verse from Offset of the Migos, as the song touches on haters focused on others instead of fixing themselves.

Over the past few months, Kevin Gates has been rolling out records leading fans to believe a new project is on the way. Turns out the fans were right, as the New Orleans rapper drops off a new EP titled Only the Generals Gon Understand. The six-track project includes the songs “#Yukatan,”
and “Big Gangsta.” No need for additional guest features as Kevin Gates keeps it solo on the EP. It serves the Gates’ first project since last year’s Luca Brasi 3.

Gucci Mane loves collaborations. The Atlanta star drops a huge surprise for his fans, returning with a new single called “Love Thru The Computer.” The record, which samples Zapp, Roger and Terry Troutman’s 1985 funk-hit “Computer Love,” features Justin Bieber who contributes an auto-tuned verse. This is the first official record from Guwop and Bieber after connecting on Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” remix.

Jim Jones closed out last year by spearheading and releasing The Diplomats’ reunion album, Family Ties. Harlem’s Capo now shifts focus on his new solo project, El Chapo. A collaborative LP with producers The Heatmakerz, El Chapo includes the songs “Cristal Occasions” and “Mama I Made It.” Cam’ron, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Curren$y, Dave East, and Griselda’s Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine make guest appearances.

Rising singer DaniLeigh released her debut album The Plan last year, with guest appearances by YG, Lil Yachty & YBN Nahmir. QC’s Lil’ Baby also was featured on the project, contributing to the remix of DaniLeigh’s single “Lil’ Bebe.” The talented star keeps the remixes coming, this time enlisting Chris Brown on the track “Easy.” A music video for the record was recently filmed, which fans can expect very soon. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib are set to release their second collaborative album, Bandana. Due June 28, the project is available for pre-order now and features guest appearances by Pusha T and Killer Mike. Before the full album arrives, Gangsta Gibbs and ‘Lib drop a new song and accompanying music video called “Crime Pays.” Directed by Nick Walker, the visual stars Gibbs playing the owner of a country side ranch. In between running the operation, the Gary MC enjoys the views and overall calmness of nature.
