The Weeknd’s “Memento Mori” show returned to Beats 1 radio’s airwaves for its fourth episode on Saturday (Apr. 27). Hosted by Amir “Cash XO” Esmailian, the CEO and manager of the Toronto superstar promised the new episode would be filled with unreleased exclusives. Along with a tribute mix to the late Nipsey Hussle, XO Cash blasted off new tracks from Lil’ Uzi Vert, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, French Montana, Lil’ Durk, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, and more. Another record from the vaults that got a played was a track from Offset and 21 Savage called “Heathen.”

JAY-Z re-opened famed New York City music venue Webster Hall in a special way on Friday night (Apr. 26). The music mogul brought his ‘B-Sides 2’ show to the popular Manhattan location, performing a two-hour set of deep album cuts. Along with bringing out guests Nas, Cam’ron, and Jim Jones, the face of Roc Nation took time to debut two new freestyles. Dubbed by fans the ‘B-Sides 2’ freestyles, the first verse captured concert goers ears as Hov touched on the late Nipsey Hussle, gentrification, and urging minorities to invest in their own communities.

Gentrify your own hood before these people do it/ Claim eminent domain and have your people move in. That’s a small glimpse into what Nipsey was doing/ For anybody still confused as to what he was doing,” Jay raps. “I be going to sleep hoping that Nip would visit me/ That young King had a lot of jewels to split with me. And we ain’t got to leave the hood physically/ But we got to leave that shit mentally.”

JAY-Z delivered a night to remember on Friday (Apr. 26), returning with his sequel ‘B-Sides’ concert. Taking place at the newly renovated Webster Hall, JAY-Z re-opened the popular Manhattan venue with a two-hour performance of deep album cuts from his extensive discography. Backed by a full band and DJs Young Guru and Just Blaze, the rap icon gave the intimate crowd a 39-song set that includes records like “The Prelude,” “People Talkin,” “Allure,” “D’Evils,” “Dear Summer,” and his most recent stellar guest appearance on Meek Mill’s “What’s Free.”

Along with two ‘B-Side 2’ freestyles, one dedicated to the late Nipsey Hussle, JAY-Z brought out a few major surprise guests. First up was Nas, who joined his fellow NY heavyweight for “Success,” before performing a medley of “The World Is Yours” and “NY State of Mind.” Soon after a shocking moment took place as long-time foe, Cam’ron appeared in a suit joining JAY-Z to perform their 2002 collaboration “Welcome to New York City” for the first-time ever. Dipset’s Jim Jones would later join the pair, backing Cam’ron for their rap classic “I Really Mean It.” Watch some fan captured highlights below.

Offset shared a touching moment on Friday (Apr. 26). The Migos rapper reunited with his estranged father for the first-time in 23 years. The hitmaking star posted a video on Instagram, showing the emotional moment as the two embraced face-to-face in a long time. “DREAMS DO COME TRUE. HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM,” said Offset in a caption. “THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!!

In an interview on The Breakfast Club back in February, Offset revealed he hadn’t seen his father since he was 4-years-old. Despite sparingly speaking, the last being in 2016, the Atlanta native said it would be a dream come true to meet his father and move forward.

H.E.R. is stuck in a “Hard Place” in the her latest music video. The Grammy Award-winning songstress drops a visual in support of I Used To Know Her Pt. 2. The visual stars H.E.R. and an on-screen lover, playing the roles of a couple with aspiring music careers. After performing at a local lounge, it turns out a pair of industry execs are interested in H.E.R. as a solo artist only. The relationship becomes strained as H.E.R. rises to big star while her partner struggles to deal with her celebrity.

The joint album features appearances by Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Curren$y and more. On Jimmy’s latest release “Mama I Made It,” Capo brings in his Dipset brethren Cam’ron who drops a guest verse and handles hook duties.
