Breaking news is currently coming from Los Angeles involving Nipsey Hussle. The Crenshaw native was reportedly shot multiple times outside of a retail store he owns on Sunday afternoon (Mar. 31). According to TMZ, multiple witnesses said the L.A. star was shot multiple times on the property of The Marathon Clothing Company, a store Nipsey owns and runs in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The status of Nipsey’s condition is currently unknown. Moments before the incident, Hussle tweeted “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”

The artist/entrepreneur enjoyed a breakout year in 2018, as his Victory Lap debut received critical acclaim leading up to it receiving a nomination at the GRAMMY Awards back in February. This story will continue to be updated.

After a brief ‘retirement’ NAV returned with his sophomore album Bad Habits earlier this month. Executive produced by The Weeknd, the fans came out and supported the project as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. NAV’s first chart-topping project moved 82,000 equivalent album units (24,000 were in traditional album sales) opening week, according to Nielsen Music. The Toronto star’s new effort is the fourth No. 1 album produced by his label XO, following The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness (2015), STARBOY (2016) and My Dear Melancholy (2018).

The album and its extended deluxe edition features appearances by The Weeknd, Future, Young Thug, Meek Mill, Lil’ Durk and Gunna.

Lil’ Kim recently announced her fifth studio album and first in 15 years will be called 9. Paying homage to the day her mentor The Notorious B.I.G. died (March 9th) and the birth of her daughter Royal Reign (June 9th), the album is set to drop on May 17th. With the project a little over one month away, Kimmy Blanco returns with the music video for the single “Go Awff.” Like the Queen that she is, Lil’ Kim is the center of attention in the fierce performance clip. Khalid is getting set to release his Free Spirit sophomore album next week on April 5. Ahead of it, the 21-year-old singer announces his first headlining world tour in support of the project. The 32-date North American leg kicks off on Jun. 20 in Phoenix, making stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, New York City, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and Atlanta, before wrapping up on Aug. 17 in Miami. Supporting the El Paso star will be Claro, serving as opening act.

“my first North American Arena tour. wow. Not even 3 years ago, I can remember doing my first show in a coffee shop haha this is unbelievable. I just wanna thank you guys so much for making this possible man life is a dream!!,” said Khalid on his social media platforms, announcing the tour. In the feel-good party visual, the rumored couple get up close and personal at a night club where the Bay Area star is the main attraction of the night. New Tigallo! After making the surprise announcement yesterday, Phonte’s Pacific Time EP is here. In contrast to the intricate and introspective raps that we heard on his 2018 album No News Is Good News, this quickfire, four-track project finds Tigallo flexing his smooth singing voice over serene production. However, he still bars up on the groovy, KAYTRANADA-produced “Heard This One Before.”

After a much publicized split and rocky relationship, Birdman and Juvenile reunite on Just Another Gangsta. With grudges, beef and past legal issues put aside, the two New Orleans veterans join forces on a new joint album. Released under Cash Money Records, the 12-track LP features one guest appearance by NL Choppa on “Dreams.” In interviews with HOT 97’s Ebro in the Morning and Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club this week, Juvenile revealed the pair have filmed ten music videos in support of the project.

Ciara has announced her new album, Beauty Marks. The follow-up to 2015’s Jackie will be the R&B singer’s first under her newly launched label Beauty Marks Entertainment. Dropping on May 10, the 11-track LP includes the singles “Level Up,” “Dose,” “Freak Me” and “Greatest Love.” Kelly Rowland, Macklemore and Tekno all make guest appearances on the album.
