Back in July, DOM Kennedy dropped his soundtrack for the summer in Addicted to the Underground. With that mixtape out bumped at all the kick backs, the L.A. rapper is now shifting focus on his upcoming Volume Two LP. Before new details surrounding the project are revealed, DOM drops a music video for “Brenda’s Baby.” The black-and-white visual draws inspiration from 2pac’s “Brenda’s Got A Baby” classic.
With a 2018 twist to it, watch DOM pay homage to a 90s gem below.

The 44th season of Saturday Night Live premieres this weekend with a bang. Kanye West will take to the stage as musical guest, as Star Wars actor Adam Driver serves as guest host. All eyes will be on Kanye, who is also releasing his new album YANDHI on the same day. Before the upcoming television appearance, Kanye, Adam Driver and Kenan Thompson star in SNL‘s promo spot before the season premiere airs. Keeping a straight face and wearing the controversial “Make America Great Again” hat made famous by President Trump, Kanye keeps quiet until revealing what his Star Wars character would be named.

Travi$ Scott is bringing ASTROWORLD to Saturday Night Live next weekend. The Houston rapper/producer has been announced as musical guest for SNL‘s upcoming October 6th episode. La Flame will be joined by Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina, who will serve as guest host. The news comes days before Kanye West is set to kick off the new season of SNL this weekend. Yeezy is set to perform on the late-night sketch comedy show this Saturday, and will also release his new album YANDHI the same day.
Scott’s SNL debut comes one month before his “Astroworld: Wish You Were Here” Tour begins Nov. 8 in Baltimore.

With a new home at Alamo/Interscope Records, Lil’ Durk’s is now focused on his upcoming Signed to the Streets 3 LP. The OTF rapper dropped the Future-assisted “Spin the Block” music video earlier this month, and now is back with its follow. On his new single “Downfall,” Durkio gets some southern hospitality as Young Dolph and Lil’ Baby joins him on the track. The trio also shot a visual for their new record, set to drop very soon. T.I.’s 10th studio album, The Dime Trap, now has an official release date of October 5. It serves as the Grand Hustle CEO’s first project since signing a new deal with Epic Records earlier this year. Just days ago, Tip revealed the entire album will be narrated by the legendary Dave Chappelle. Following that news, T.I. reveals the full album track list. Lead by the singles “Jefe” with Meek Mill and “Wraith” featuring Yo Gotti, The Dime Trap comes in at 15 tracks.
Anderson .Paak, Jeezy, Teyana Taylor, YFN Lucci, Victoria Monét and more make guest appearances. Frequent collaborator Young Thug also contributes to the album, hopping on “The Weekend.” See the full track list and hear “The Weekend” below.

Cardi B will invade the American Music Awards next month. The rap star was announced as a performer on Wednesday (Sept. 27) (via Billboard), set to do her “I Like It” collaboration with Bad Bunny and J Balvin for the first-time live. It will be Cardi B’s first awards show performance since giving birth to her daughter Kulture back in July. The Bronx native ties Drake for most nominations at this year’s AMAs, with eight nods each.
Cardi B joins a performance lineup that includes Mariah Carey, Benny Blanco with Halsey and Khalid, Post Malone featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Carrie Underwood. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the 2018 AMAs airs live on Oct. 9 at 8:00 p.m EST on ABC.
