In collaboration with producer 9th Wonder, the 5-track project includes guest appearances by Rapsody, KIRBY, and Styles P who appears on the previously released “Making a Murderer.”

A$AP Ferg has been one of the hottest — and proudest — products to come out of Harlem in the last few years. And on this new song, “Harlem Anthem,” Ferg puts his borough on his back while borrowing the fittingly triumphant backdrop of Pharoahe Monch’s Public Enemy-inspired “Welcome to the Terrordome” (which itself is built from a sample of Third Avenue Blues Band’s “Come and Get It“). Of course, it wouldn’t be a Harlem anthem without name dropping Cam and Ma$e.
“Harlem Anthem” is taken from the upcoming Uncle Drew soundtrack (out June 15), which also features new music from A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Logic, Wiz Khalifa and more.
It only feels like last week when we were saying, “Gorillaz back!” But after making their comeback with Humanz in 2017, Damon Albarn’s digital outfit are wasting little time in releasing a follow-up album, The Now Now, which he’s announced is dropping on June 29.
Unlike their previous record, which featured everyone from Pusha T and Popcaan to Danny Brown and De La Soul, this new one contains a noticeably smaller supporting cast that includes Snoop Dogg, Jamie Principle and jazz legend George Benson, who guests on the album’s lead single, “Humility.” Oh, and Jack Black takes the starring role in the song’s accompanying video. Because why not?
Red Bull’s 2018 Music Festival closes with Oscar Boyson’s RAMMΣLLZΣΣ documentary It’s Not Who But What. The short film is about the legendary artist, graffiti writer, hip-hop pioneer, myth-maker, and New York cult icon — who is often overlooked when the origins of true NYC hip-hop culture is being discussed.
Coming off the release of “Ain’t Yo Girl” featuring Cash Money’s Jacquees, K-Major is not resting on his laurels. With the momentum for his forthcoming album still rising, he doubles down on his successes with the release of his follow-up single “Proud To Beg” which features close friend and fellow singer/songwriter SoMo.
This isn’t their first rodeo as the pair have a history of creative collaborations such as “Contraband” and “Wake Up Call” off of SoMo’s latest project and SoMo’s previous singles “First” and “Champion.” from the sophomore album ‘The Answers.’ The very smooth cut finds both K-Major and SoMo showcasing their vocal talents over the melodic tune about bringing you and your lady bringing home a friend together.
Stream the cohesive cut after the jump and purchase the song via iTuneshere.
