Jacquees might be getting his buzz from Birdman and Cash Money Records, but the boy has talent. Today, he shows a different kind of skill through the video for “New Wave,” a single from his Mood album. In the clip, he gets curved by a shorty (as well as all of his other friends), but doesn’t give up and continues to pursue her. Persistent is the way to go, right?

Fresh off appearances on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo and Frank Ocean’s Endless, Sampha is ready to make his own mark in 2016 with the release of his debut album, Process. The soft-spoken British singer gave us a first taste of his project with “Timmy’s Prayer” earlier this year, and tonight he’s back with a new single called “Blood On Me,” which finds him switching things up slightly with a punchier beat and a powerful chorus.
Process is due out later this year and will follow up Sampha’s Dual EP, which dropped three years ago.

Lauryn Hill recently kicked off her MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! tour, and as if seeing Ms. Hill in concert wasn’t enough, she’ll be joined by a few special guests along the way. According to Billboard, Nas, Kehlani, Chicago’s Noname and British MC Little Simz will support Lauryn Hill on select dates this fall.

Frank Ocean pulled a fast one on Def Jam and Universal by fulfilling his contract with the visual album Endless — essentially a 45-minute music video that’s not for sale — before dropping his proper album, Blonde, via his own Boys Don’t Cry imprint just two days later. It was a risky move that could see him slapped with a lawsuit from Universal, but for now, Frank’s hustle is paying off big time.

RZA and Paul Banks gave television audiences a first live look at their Banks & Steelz coalition on The Tonight Show last night. The Wu-Tang Clan and Interpol maestros swung through Jimmy Fallon’s spot and performed “Giant,” taken from their newly released collaborative album Anything But Words. The project, which features appearances from Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Kool Keith, Masta Killa and Florence Welch, is out now.
