With Fetty Wap enjoying his self-titled album release and Jeezy with his upcoming Church In These Streets due out in November, the two have come together for a remix of a single on the charts now. The Snowman adds a verse to “679,” which is undoubtedly a club banger right now to get his name back in the streets and back buzzing.

Jay-Z

It’s a celebration and it’s all going down in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on October 20. JAY Z announced yesterday that his streaming service TIDAL surpassed the one million users mark and teased a concert, but today news has surfaced that the show will feature none other than Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, T.I., Prince, Usher, Lil Wayne and a whole lot more. Tickets can be purchased today on the site and all proceeds will go to New World Foundation. The general public can cop tickets this Friday via Ticketmaster.

If you’re not going to be in the tri-state area around this time, you will still be able to watch the show as it will stream live on TIDAL. You don’t even have to be a subscriber!

People won’t ever stop pushing the limits to religious freedom in America, and they shouldn’t. However, this whole Church of Cannabis is bit ridiculous — even for a Marijuana supporter. The hoopla was even enough to catch Stephen Colbert’s attention, and he did some investigating.

Indiana’s First Church of Cannabis was founded by Bill Levin who says he was just poking around at the state’s new religious freedom restoration act, which offers “protections against the government infringing on religious practices.” Okay buddy.

dead-friends

This song has me zonin’ right now. As I hit play on the song and heard the hook, I had crazy flashbacks of all the friends I’ve lost along the years. I’m from a relatively “good area,” and I’m still counting the number of dead homies with two hands. It’s crazy how Pro Era’s Kirk Knight — along with Noname Gypsy and Thundercat — were able to capture the somber feeling so perfectly. God bless the dead.

Wale teams up with producer Metro Boomin and the Highbridge Voices on the track “Voices In My Head.” The record was created this summer at The Sprite Corner in NYC, and Mass Appeal beaks down how the collaboration came together from scratch down below.

This past summer, young creatives were invited to The Sprite Corner in New York City to watch Wale, Metro Boomin, and the Highbridge Voices choir create a track from scratch.

From the jump, Wale let everyone know they were being treated to an exclusive experience, as he’d never opened up his creative process to such a large group before. However, once Wale and Metro Boomin settled on the direction of the song, it was almost as if they completely forgot about the crowd, experimenting without reservation. The Highbridge Voices choir brought an additional layer to the experience, adding haunting harmonizations to Metro’s production.

nicki-minaj

ABC Family has locked in Nicki Minaj to star and executive a new sitcom about her childhood in Queens. They’re even set to film a pilot in New York City later this year. Written by Kate Angelo (Sex Tape), the untitled series will attempt to bring Nicki’s childhood with her immigrant family from Trinidad to the small screen.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” said Minaj. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”
