During their 35-minute conversation, the R&B singer discussed his new single and video for “Hip-Hop,” his choice of outfit at the BET Awards, the struggles going on back home in New Orleans, recently having surgery to treat the rare Keratoconus disease in his left eye, being healthy physcially and mentally, and his current relationship status.

The talk of Tuesday has been the official launch of Apple Music. Exclusives on the new music streaming platform have slowly began to roll out, including a video teaser to Eminem’s new video “Phenomenal.” The song appears on the motion picture soundtrack Southpaw, executive produced by the Detroit rapper, releasing via Shady Records/Interscope.

Hitting stores on July 20, the soundtrack features brand new music from Eminem and Gwen Stefani, Slaughterhouse, PRhyme, Bad Meets Evil, and Action Bronson.

After setting off the BET Awards on Sunday with “Alright,” Kendrick Lamar has released the video for the single. The To Pimp A Butterfly song has cameos from ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul during the beginning as a snippet of a song not found plays, and the video starts. You will see plenty of donuts in cars, money being thrown in the air and dancing throughout the clip because, obviously, everything is going to be alright. The video still carries a message, but you can tell Kendrick is having the time of his life right now.

With the roll out of Apple Music today, Pharrell has blessed the established company with an exclusive single and video to go along with the launch. Skateboard P debuted the song live at Glastonbury this weekend, but the video has just been released on Apple Music. Unless you have the service (you can apply for a free 3-mont trial) you will not be able to watch it, much like TIDAL, but with Apple’s influence, you know this is just the start.
