Kanye West put on another noteworthy performance of his single “Only One.” After rocking Swedish show Skavlan, Yeezy headed to The Jonathan Ross Show to share his ballad with fans in London. At the end, the host even joined Yeezy on the floor for a few jokes.

Logic and Big K.R.I.T. both put out solid albums in what was an otherwise quiet year in 2014 with Under Pressure and Cadillactica, respectively. Today the Maryland and Mississippi natives join forces on this new song called “Top Ten,” which manages to capture the best elements of their respective sounds — Logic’s quick-tongued introspection and K.R.I.T.’s trunk-rattling intensity — into one powerful combination.

“If I wait on the label to support my vision I might go blind,” Krizzle spits, proving that the independent spirit is still alive — even for a couple of MCs on Def Jam.

common oprah high five

Riding high off the success — and more importantly, impact — of his powerful “Glory” collaboration with John Legend, Common visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (with his brand new Oscar award in hand, no less). The Chicago rapper shared a couple of great stories, like getting a signed pair of sneakers from Michael Jordan when he was a ball boy for the Bulls back in the day and his conversation with Jay Z following his Oscar win.

[Jay Z] was really proud. He said something to me that really touched me. He felt that I represented all of us — people from hip-hop, as black men, as people of love, children of love. He felt that John and I were representing that with this Academy Award.

Turning the attention to more pressing issues, Kimmel also asked Common about him leaving Oprah hanging at the Oscars last weekend. “What had happened was…”
