Me and Mikey Fresh are out in Los Angeles this week, checking out the events and interviewing old friends backstage at the run up to this Sunday’s BET Awards. On Friday, we had a hilarious conversation with Timbaland (guess what, he hates everything), and a fascinating one with Faith Evans….
But today, while we were having a no-holds-barred chat with ASAP Rocky (soon come!)….Mr. North tipped us off to Chris Brown’s Drake-diss “I Don’t Like” freestyle.
So when Meek Mill (who was with Drake during his Club W.I.P. brawl with Chris Brown) and Big Sean (Chris Brown’s homeboy and collaborator) stopped by to chat, I had to ask them what they think of the latest round in the Chris Brown vs Drake battle.
Watch Meek Mill‘s surprised reaction to Chris Brown’s lyrics…
And hear Big Sean vouch for Chris Brown’s gangster…

When things seemed to quiet down a bit, Chris Brown fires back at Drake with a verse on Game’s remix of Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like.” Following their much publicized brawl that temporarily shut down NYC nightclub W.I.P at Greenhouse, looks like things are still not well from Brown’s side. While Game’s said numerous times in the past he doesn’t approve when Brown is involved with beef, the R&B star doesn’t hold back clearly dropping Drake’s OVO stamp.
“A fuck ni**a, that’s that shit I don’t like/ They throwin’ bottles, I’m throwin’ models, just ’cause I give a bitch long pipe. Doing shows on the soccer field/ that’s dome right? I be singin’, he be singin’, so it’s on, sight/ But hold up, I ain’t give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one-on-one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a/ My ni**a Tunechi, yeah that ni**a nice/ Shout out to Nicki, man that ass tight/ Them eyebrows, man, them shits is yikes/ OVO, you overdosed, screamin’ YOLO no, I live twice.”

Azealia Banks has praised Styles P various times in the past. Finally Yung Rapunxel collaborates with her favorite rapper on “Nathan,” the latest release off her upcoming Fantasea mixtape due July 11. In an interview with MTV RapFix, Banks describes the feel of the record and getting the D-Block general for the song produced by Drums of Death.
“It’s so New York and it’s so raw and it’s so just … everything that needs to be said. I’m that rap girl who’s out here and doesn’t have another rapper behind her, but she’s got all this mouth and she’s all over the place. So [this collaboration] was cool for me [because I’m like] ‘What ya’ll gonna say now, when I bust out with that Styles P record?’ Ya’ll not gon’ call me fake and make fun of me for having one song. Yeah, I make lil dance music and ya’ll got jokes, whatever — watch when I come out with the Styles P record.”

Rubik speaks on their working relationship and the how they approached the magazine’s explicit theme.
“He’s like a machine, not only with music but also with fashion and videos. He’s a workaholic, and always talking about all these crazy thoughts and images running through his head. It’s funny. We talked about porn looks these days, and he agreed with me that there’s no porn out there that is beautiful aesthetically and integrates fashion to make a beautiful image. We were on the same page about a lot of things. I thought it would be really interesting to make it seem like we were entering Kanye’s head. It’s not pornographic, but it’s very sensual.”
