This jam ain’t for everyone but it gets two thumbs up from me. I used to be a big Beck fan. He was a rappin’ ass whiteboy before it was cool to be one. Seriously, “Where It’s At” is still an awesome record in my opinion and “Loser” was the ultimate piss-my-mom off song when I was in grade school. She used to tell me I’d grow up to be a loser if I kept listening to that song. Haha. I have no idea what he’s been up to for all these years but hearing him on Childish Gambino’s latest cut brings me back. Look out for “Silk Pillow” to be featured on Gambino’s upcoming D-Money mixtape.
You haven’t made it until well-respected photographer Terry Richardson has shot you in his New York City studio. Recently, Waka Flocka had the change to catch up with Terry to do a photoshoot for VMAN Magazine. As we’ve seen in previous shoots by the esteemed photographer, we catch a goofy fun side of his shoot as Waka shows off his watch collection, and throws on Terry’s staple glasses. Waka’s sophomore LP Triple F Life: Fans, Friends & Family is due June 12, pre-order the album here.

It’s been three years since the initial spring/summer debut of Kanye West’s collaboration with Nike, the Air Yeezy 2. After debuting his Cruel Summer film in Cannes, Kanye West is set to release the second installment of his ever popular sneaker. After much speculation, rumors, and changed release dates, Nike announced this morning the Air Yeezy 2 officially drops on Saturday, June 9 in the U.S. and internationally at select retailers. Retail is set at $245 u.s. as the sneaker comes in two colorways (platinum and black colorways). Going back to last year we’ve seen both models on Kanye himself, along with Jay-Z, Don C., and more recently Shawn “Pecas” Costner of Def Jam Records.
On Tuesday, the first batch of celebrities, influencers, and notable Nike team members got their hands on delivered pairs from the man himself. That included Chris Brown, Pete Wentz, Jadakiss, Bun B, DJ Clark Kent, and others. View their photos, and Nike’s official press release below…..
HAHA! Not really, but it still made us pretty uncomfortable to hear such loaded puns and innuendo from Miss Info on her debut appearance on MTV2’s Hip-Hop Squares last night. Rap heavyweights like Fat Joe and Maino, and JB Smoove and Bam from Jackass also appeared on the show. You can check out more on Info’s outfit and fly nails over at MTVstyle.
(ps: we probably shouldn’t tell you this, but she curses like a sailor in real life)

Wiz Khalifa takes a ride in Hollywood down Sunset Blvd while reflecting on his hustle in “The Grinder,” the video in support of his Taylor Allderdice mixtape. Juicy J brings the drinks and smokes while Khalifa raps about his come up over the Jake One-produced cut.
Everything about this video is f*ckin’ hilarious. I’ve never seen a hip-hop behind-the-scenes video come out so scripted. The interviewer makes this viral video feel like “Fisher Price – My First Time Covering a Rap Video.” After she introduces her access to the “super secret” video shoot, shorty drops this whopper: “Oh yea, Rihanna was there, too.” Here’s more photos from French Montana’s “Pop That” video shoot, featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.
Her descriptions of the day are so scripted but surprisingly accurate. Watch this and laugh your a$$ off.
Tity Boi recently sat down with Life + Times for a quick breakdown of his Drak-assisted single, “No Lie.” First and foremost, he breaks down his opening line, “I’m smoking on that gas,” which he says is ATL slang for smoking extremely potent weed. After the THC was flowing through his blood, he exaplains how the rest of the track came together.

I swear I was just listening to “Tell Me” on my way to work this morning. Though, I’m not much of a Bobby V fan, his chemistry with Wayne is pretty on-point. “Mirror” is cheesy, yes, but it’s infectious and I’m grooving to it. Thanks to Splash for the CDQ.
Mikey Fresh asked for it last week, and here we have it. For the last release off collective Cocaine 80s Express OG EP, Common finally makes an appearance on the uplifting “Motivation.” The full 6-track project features a guest appearance from Nas, and the collective’s members of No I.D., James Fauntleroy, Makeeba, and the aforementioned Common.

Big Boi hooks up with none other than Theophilus London on the explicit raunchy song, “She Said Ok.” The smooth tune is set to appear on Big Boi’s new solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors along with Theophilus London’s Rose Island II mixtape. Both projects are due later this year.
