With his new album YANDHI set to arrive this weekend, Kanye West appeared as musical guest on the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live. Introduced by guest host Adam Driver, Kanye West took to Studio 8H to perform his latest hit “I Love It,” with surprise guest Lil’ Pump who was recently serving time in jail.

The two rap stars brought their comical music video to life, dressed as Fiji and Perrier water bottles. Later returning to the SNL stage, Kanye West was joined by Teyana Taylor where they performed the song “We Got Love.” The record, which features an outro from Lauryn Hill, was orginially set to appear on Taylor’s K.T.S.E. sophomore LP but for various reasons didn’t make the final cut. The 44th season of Saturday Night Live premieres this weekend with a bang. Kanye West will take to the stage as musical guest, as Star Wars actor Adam Driver serves as guest host. All eyes will be on Kanye, who is also releasing his new album YANDHI on the same day. Before the upcoming television appearance, Kanye, Adam Driver and Kenan Thompson star in SNL‘s promo spot before the season premiere airs. Keeping a straight face and wearing the controversial “Make America Great Again” hat made famous by President Trump, Kanye keeps quiet until revealing what his Star Wars character would be named.

Since the release of his latest album NASIR, Nas has kept quiet making no media rounds or television appearances. The Queens MC made his first late-night appearance since the summer project, paying a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (Sept. 25). Sitting down with Colbert, Nas discussed loving the art form of hip-hop 24 years strong in the game, classic artists he grew up on, recording NASIR with Kanye West in Wyoming, and his regret putting the song “Dr. Knockboot” on a commercial album (1999’s I Am…).

Backed by singer Jon Batiste and DJ Green Lantern, Nas would later return to the studio stage to perform the song “Adam and Eve.” Watch it all below.

Tyga’s comeback year continued with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (Sept. 25). Serving as his first late-night television visit in a few years, T-Raww bought the dancers and his flashy style to the studio stage. With special guest Offset, the pair performed their Billboard smash-hit “Taste” for the first-time together.

Earlier this week, Wiz Khalifa and Lil’ Skies debuted their Cole Bennett-directed “Fr Fr” music video. The two continued their promo run of the record with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (Sept. 20), where they performed the record for the first-time together on late-night television. Taking things to the outdoor stage on Kimmel, watch the performance below.

A month after the controversy with Jeremih over their “Later That Night” tour, Teyana Taylor has moved on. The G.O.O.D. Music songstress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night (Sept. 12). Backed by a team of dancers and a band, the R&B star performed the songs “Gonna Love Me” and “Rose in Harlem” off her KTSE album executive produced by Kanye West.

Future invaded The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (Sept. 11), returning to the late-night show for the first-time since early 2017. Opening with a tribute to the late Mac Miller, the Freebandz general performed the song “31 Days” off his Beast Mode 2 with Zaytoven. The appearance comes a few weeks after the Atlanta star dropped the racy NSFW music video “WIFI LIT.” Beast Mode 2 made history this summer, becoming the highest-charting streaming-exclusive album on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Jay Rock has been in the Big Apple to promote his latest album, Redemption LP. After a visit to HOT 97 for a freestyle with Funkmaster Flex, the TDE MC appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday (Sept. 7). Backed by a live band and dancers, the Watts native performed the standout single “WIN” for the first-time on late-night television.

Meek Mill returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the first-time since being released from prison earlier this year. Appearing on Tuesday nigth (Sept. 4), the Dreamchasers MC was joined by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin. The two discussed their ongoing campaign to bring awareness to criminal justice reform, the struggles minorities go through in the American prison system, and Meek’s well publicized issues he’s encountered in the corrupt legal system starting at the age of 19.

The MMG spitter would later hit the studio stage, joined by guests Jeremih and PnB Rock where they performed the song “Dangerous.” The standout single appears on Meek Mill’s Legends of the Summer EP, out now.

The 16th season of The Ellen Show kicked off this week with a bang, as Nicki Minaj was the first guest of the new season. With blazing orange hair, the Young Money Queen sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss her QUEEN album debuting at No. 2, Travis Scott landing at No. 1 and wanting to punch him in the face, and her recent rants on Twitter and Queen Radio. Minaj also touched on her relationship life, referring to her past one with Meek Mill as “toxic,” and revealing there’s a new person in her life.

Before leaving the show, Nicki surprised three students by giving them $50,000 each to pay off their student loans. The Queens MC closed the appearance by hitting the studio stage to perform a medley of “Barbie Dreams,” “Ganja Burn” and her 6ix9ine collaboration “FEFE.”
