Earlier this year, Common, Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggins officially joined forces to release an album called August Greene, which is also the name of their group. Last night, the veteran trio brought their band to Late Night with Seth Meyers and performed their breezy album standout, “Black Kennedy.” August Greene may have slipped under your radar (the album was released as an Amazon exclusive), but Common’s political pen and Glasper and Riggins’ soulful, jazzy production is a powerful combination indeed.

Last night, Donald Glover took time out from tearing it up on our screens and speakers to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! A late night TV interview barely does his current — and upcoming — work justice, but Gambino did briefly discuss the critical response to his stunning new video “This Is America” (spoiler: he hasn’t read your 3,000-word think piece), his role as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, and performing “Superstition” with the legend himself Stevie Wonder at L.A.’s Peppermint Club earlier this week (watch below).

Kimmel also asked Glover about the first album he bought (No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom) and the album he’s listened to the most (Lauryn Hill’s The Miseductation of Lauryn Hill). Not mad at both.

Donald Glover and his alter-ego, Childish Gambino, served as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Ahead of the season two finale of Atlanta later this week, Glover delivered one of SNL‘s memorable episodes in recent time. Taking to the stage in Studio 8H, Gambino’s first performance was for the song “This Is America,” a record the actor/producer/rapper debuted moments before SNL aired. Showing off his versatility, Childish Gambino would later return for his second performance to premiere a new track titled “Saturday.” On the track, Gambino shows off his crooning vocals over an uptempo beat filled with groovy vibes.

On the music side, Gambino’s fourth and final studio album is expected to arrive later this year via his newly signed deal with RCA Records. Catch Childish Gambino on his North American tour with Rae Sremmurd and Vince Staples starting in September.

Last night, Rae Sremmurd chopped it up with VICELAND’s Desus and Mero about their upcoming triple album SR3MM (out May 4), the mannequin challenge and their dream collaborations, including Drake, Lil Wayne, Adele and Lil Boosie.

Now we’ve got the boring parts out the way, the Ear Drummers duo also talked about flying fighter jets, their rules for living a rockstar lifestyle (which include, but are not limited to, not wearing a shirt 72% of the time and having a body like a potato) and how their 2015 song “Up Like Trump” lowkey predicted everything.

“I think we made this n*gga run for President, bruh,” Swae said. “Then we said, ‘Twerk like she from Russia.'” *mind-blown.gif*
