Cam sent over another song that he cooked up as he preps for his next DJ Drama mixtape “Boss of All Bosses 2.5″ featuring him and the U.N. My coworker DJ Kay Slay also played it last night on Hot97. But more interesting were the details that Killa shared about his next album…it seems that while Cam’s insular social dealings keep him unique, its nice to hear that he’s been collaborating with other big-name talent too. Ones that we’re not accustomed to hearing him with….even a very popular R&B singer? Variety is the spice o’ life ; )

Bonus: And since we had that technical hiccup earlier this week and lost some valuable posts…I wanted to make sure we re-posted some of the more recent Cam’ron/U.N. leaks…

The homie Maino has alot of things on tap…along with his upcoming album, Day After Tomorrow, he shot a movie that I’m looking forward to seeing (especially because his “Up Close and Personal” series was some of the most compelling rapper testimonial, last year). But last night, Maino sent me this new street single to follow up his “Bring It Back, DJ” song…

I like this….something Brooklyn about it, lol. (thanks to Maino and Josiah)

50-cent-tim-westwood-new

Yesterday, 50 Cent called in to talk to Tim Westwood, on 1Xtra (by the way, you can hear my celebrity drama reports every afternoon on the Tim Westwood Show on 1Xtra : )….

The two discussed 50’s upcoming London concert, and calls London the “New York City of Europe.”

He discusses the criticism about his Curtis album vs the street feel of War Angel, addresses his bad-guy image. But what about the reports that 50 is dabbling with “techno” tracks on his upcoming Black Magic album?!?…..and 50 also responds to Rick Ross’ babymama’s sextape lawsuit…..listen after the jump…

It’s no secret that I’m very fond of Travis Barker the drummer, and my friend DJ A-Trak, turntablist and bon-vivant. So I was especially psyched to see that they’ve formed a duo. Its definitely different but still in the same collaborative vein as the incredible TRVS/AM partnership that Barker had with the late, great, DJ AM. A few weeks ago, Travis X A-Trak jammed at the Roxy in LA, and I posted some of that footage after the jump….

but in preparation for this week’s South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas (Travis x A-trak have a big show tonite Thurs, Mar 18 at Republic Live! With more Fool’s Gold fun on Fri at Malverde)…The guys documented their rehearsals and antics….see above : )

After the jump, check out more footage from Travis x A-Trak’s Roxy show….

As I mentioned in the earlier post, Gucci and DJ Holiday put together a sequel mixtape to the recent DJ Drama tape, this one called Burrrprint 2HD, dropping April 13 (with classically absurd cover art). Tonite, the first leak debuted on Atlanta radio as well as on Shade45, but here’s the CDQ.

New Music: Gucci Mane feat. Ludacris “Atlanta Zoo” (Dirty, CDQ) (thanks to the homie JGrand)

Mikey Fresh

Mikey: In an effort to raise awareness for the fight against diabetes, Hip-Hop legends KRS-One, Dres (Black Sheep), Greg Nice, and few a more performed for a benefit concert last night at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Hosted by Michael Rappaport, Phife Dawg, and Okayplayer, the event had a line wrapped around the block all night long. But around midnight it was pretty clear who the folks came to see… minutes later Jay Electhanukkah crept out from the clusterf*ck going on backstage, that’s when I opted to climb back into the crowd for a better shot. It’s only just begun…

MissInfo: First off, big up to all the folks who performed because the threat of diabetes is such a scary thing, and it’s great to see Phife back in action. I’m not sure what makes people all mash up on a tiny stage, but big up to Mikey for thugging it out, lol. Now I heard Mel D Cole was there so I’m sure some dope images are soon to come, but I also got an email from the Keap Hope blog with their show post link. (Is this blog a Williamsburg blog? because there’s both a Keap St. and a Hope St. in the area. Hmm). Also big up to my Mighty Healthy family who were there: Denis, Drew, Damian and John.

Related: Video: Jay Electronica x Diddy perform “Exhibit C” at Highline Ballroom (Mos Def’s Show)

On Sunday, Jay E. called P.Diddy to the stage at the Mos Def show (click to see Mikey’s exclusive footage)…and tonite, the big homie Funk Flex answered Jay’s twitter-request to hear “Exhibit A” on Hot97, lol…so I guess he felt benevolent and released this video. Nation/Nahright says that Jay told him that Jason Goldwatch/Decon’s footage is from Dubai, and also Nepal (previously seen in “Dear Moleskine“).

Tonite, the big homie Funk Flex debuted this new (not I Cant Feel My Face material) collabo between Elz and Weezy….And Juelz (and Joe Wunstop) were nice enough to send me the CDQs for you (thanks Juelz, Thanks Joe Wunstop). Now Juelz told me that they already have the video done, and it should be debuting this week (along with a live performance of “Back to the Crib” : ). But I’m also interested in hearing Juelz’ upcoming song, produced by Bangladesh…I’m happy to see the kid heating up. He’s good peoples.

Bonus: Splash sent this Juelz Santana “I Wanna Rock” freestyle (download link)

Earlier today, we posted the audio from today’s mega-meeting of the minds at Hot97…..but speedy Drewski already has video clips too! In Clip #1: Hov tells Angie about how he feels about Birdman’s comments, comparing him to Lil Wayne…

After the jump:
Clip #2: Hov, Trey and Jeezy talk about collaborations….they call themselves Mob Squad.
Clip #3: Young Jeezy talks about getting past emotions to squash beef…referring to his truce with Gucci Mane.
Clip #4: the decision to tour together
Clip #5: getting ready to perform at Madison Square Garden
