Havoc Says New Mobb Deep Album is 50% Done
Posted by Andy B. under Good For Hip Hop , Interviews[3] Comments
Mobb Deep collaborated for “Life We Chose (Remix)” earlier this week — their first track together since reuniting back in February — but that isn’t the last of the new music. In a recent interview with Rude Jude, Havoc revealed that he and P are halfway through the next Mobb Deep album. He added that he’ll be handling most of the production on the record, with contributions from Boi-1da (who recently co-produced DJ Khaled’s “No New Friends.”)
Me and P been in the studio for the past month, we damn near got half of the next Mobb Deep album knocked out… On this new Mobb Deep album it’s just going to be all me [on the production] and less of somebody coming up with some s**t. I been f**king with Boi-1da a little bit too, he got some hot s**t, kinda meshing both of our sounds together, so that should be interesting.
In the meantime, Havoc’s new solo album, 13, is out now, while Prodigy and The Alchemist’s Albert Einstein LP is due out June 11.
