Future pulled out quite the surprise on Valentine’s Day, announcing his new self-titled album and 37-date North American tour with Migos, Tory Lanez, Young Thug and more. Before the album drops in the U.S. and Canada at midnight (internationally it can be streamed here), the Freebandz general caught up with Zane Lowe for an exclusive interview on Apple Music’s Beats 1 that aired on Thursday (Feb. 16).

Recorded at Atlanta’s staple retail boutique Walters, Future and Lowe discuss working on What a Time to Be Alive with Drake, taking a step back and not putting out new music for a while, his social media hiatus, returning as Future Hendrix on his new album, fans dictating his moves in 2017 and more. Shortly after the interview concluded, Zane Lowe announced the launch of Freebandz Radio on Beats 1, premiering tonight at 10 p.m. EST hosted by DJ Esco.
