Ahead of their anticipated Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation LP due this Friday (Jul. 5), Dreamville Records premiere their REVENGE documentary. Directed by David Peters, the 29-minute film chronicles the magical ten-day ROTD3 sessions in January 2019, which took place at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Viewers get an all-access pass to the studio sessions, lead by J. Cole. Cole World breaks down the idea to hold the recording retreat and how it manifested into a social media phenomenon in Hip-Hop.

Dreamville’s J.I.D, Ari Lennox, Bas, Cozz, Omen and Lute appear throughout the documentary, along with the likes of T.I., Big K.R.I.T., Saba, Reason, T-Minus, Mike WiLL Made-It, Buddy and more. Watch the magic all come together below.

Last year, Amazon and Meek Mill announced an upcoming six-part docuseries called Free Meek executive produced by Jay-Z, Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, and Paul and Isaac Solotaroff. Back In March, a preview was released and now the official trailer is here. The docuseries gives an in-depth look at justice reform and the Philadelphia rapper’s much-publicized battle with the criminal justice system

Free Meek debuts on Amazon Prime Video on August 9th.

With his new album CrasH Talk only days away, ScHoolboy Q is the latest artist to be featured in GQ. For the profile, the TDE MC takes the publication to the Calabasas Country Club for a round of golf. The feature details Q’s rise to rap stardom and the three-year break since his last album, The Blank Face LP. During that down time, the father opens up on getting into golf, and it providing patience. “I’d be in the house smoking weed, just waiting to go to the studio every day. That’s not a good life. That brings on depression,” Q says. “You know how bad it is when you’re going through all this shit in your head and all you’re doing is going to the studio and back home? It’s toxic for your kid, too.”

Ahead of the release of his new solo album The WIZRD next week (Jan. 18), Future debuts his documentary of the same name exclusively on Apple Music. Featuring footage captured over the span of seven years, the Marcus A. Clarke-directed film centers around Future’s ‘Purple Reign’ tour in 2016. The East Atlanta rapper gives fans an all-access pass to the road, studio sessions, and family life. The 63-minute documentary follows Future’s hectic life as one of today’s biggest artists and the hard work that goes into maintaining his dominance in Hip-hop. Drake makes an appearance, along with commentary and interviews from André 3000, Organized Noize’s Rico Wade (Future’s cousin), DJ Khaled, Metro Boomin and Yo Gotti.

Travis Scott’s incredible and career-defining year is chronicled as the Cactus Jack star covers Rolling Stone. In the cover story by Jonah Wiener, the 26-year-old’s 2018 run is highlighted, lead by his platinum-selling album ASTROWORLD. The feature touches on Scott’s upbringing in Houston, his family and father’s musical background, the inaugural Astroworld Festival earlier this year and the importance of that day after the famed amusement park closed in 2005. The Grammy-nominated rapper/producer opens up on his relationship with Kylie Jenner, who he first met at Coachella. Scott details their religious connection, privacy concerns when he first started dating Jenner, and parenthood raising their newborn daughter Stormi. For the first-time, the man known as La Flame would also speak on his past mentor Kanye West’s friendship with President Donald Trump and controversial comments he’s made throughout the year.

“I mean, shit, I’d tell him, ‘Bro, chill. What you gotta understand is, young black kids are looking up to you, and the message you used to preach in your earlier music? It’ll make a young black kid — it’ll make any kid — confused.’ That shit was — come on. But when Ye get on some shit, he on some shit. I don’t know if that nigga just liked the hat or what, dog. Ella Mai is coming to Saturday Night Live this weekend. The R&B star is set to appear as musical guest on the late-night sketchy comedy show tomorrow night (Nov. 17). Before it airs, Ella Mai stars in a promo spot for the upcoming episode. Alongside guest host Steve Carell and SNL‘s Keenan Thompson, the British songstress reveals what she’s thankful for ahead of the Thanksgiving episode. Before the new episode airs, the Young Money rapper stars in a promo spot for the upcoming show. Alongside guest host Liev Schreiber and SNL‘s Kate McKinnon, Weezy F. Baby and his diamond encrusted grill are all smiles as the trio cracks some jokes.
