Fresh off the release of his new EP (or “capsule”) The Manuscript, Vic Mensa chopped it up with Real 92.3’s Bootleg Kev and DJ Damage in L.A. The Roc Nation rapper talked about his latest project, reconnecting with his old friend Chance The Rapper via text and his upcoming debut album, which he says will balance his rock ‘n’ roll influences with his love for storytelling. We can also expect production on there from No I.D., Pharrell and 1500 Or Nothin.

Touching on wider issues, Vic also spoke about the recent Bill Maher controversy, his disdain for social media and why he doesn’t fuck with the political system, regardless of the party or President.
