Random (but not that amazing) story: I was backstage at the ScHoolboy Q SummerStage show at Central Park back in June, and happened to be sandwiched (read: trying my best to act like I belong) between A$AP Mob and the gorgeous Tinashe, who wasn’t short on compliments that night (as with every other night I imagine). Lo and behold, after notching collaborations with the likes of ScHoolboy and Travi$ Scott, the West Coast singer lands a guest verse from A$AP Rocky on her new single, “Pretend.” With “Drunk In Love” hitmaker Detail supplying the seductive production, Pretty Flacko plays the sensitive thug to Tinashe’s wounded yet smitten soul on this sure-fire song.

Tinashe’s debut album, Aquarius, arrives October 7.
