The King of the Fall is back. On the final official day of summer, The Weeknd took to Twitter on Wednesday (Sep. 21) to announce his new album, Starboy. The XO singer revealed the news with a simple post, unveiling the vibrant album cover shot by photographer/director Nabil Elderkin. On the cover, The Weeknd crouches down as his hands are placed on his head, also revealing his trademark dreadlocks have been cut off.

Starboy serves as the Toronto-native’s third studio LP, a follow-up to 2015’s Beauty Behind the Madness. Lead by the Hot 100 No. 1 singles “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” Beauty Behind the Madness debuted at the top spot on the album charts last year, going triple platinum.

There are new inspirations on this album,” the 26-year-old told VMAN in a recent interview. “I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done.” The news comes a few days after The Weekend wiped his Instagram clean, signifying a new start.
