The reason why Slaughterhouse was with Eminem in the “Forever” video…
Posted by Miss Info under Crony-ism , Exclusives , Good For Hip Hop , New Music , Things I Like[128] Comments
(screengrabs from the “Forever” video)
If there’s anything that we’ve learned over the years, it’s that…there are no coincidences in hiphop. Many of you sharp-eyed readers were speculating about that not-so-subtle Slaughterhouse cameo in the new “Forever” video. The four lyrical butchers stand behind Eminem during his scene, which was shot in Detroit (as opposed to the rest of the video, which was shot in Miami).
It’s a befitting finale for such a heavyweight crew cut. Eminem’s verse is fire (my personal favorite of the four) and so is the visual: seeing Em, alongside Joell Ortiz (who was once signed to Em’s mentor, Dre), Crooked I (who was once signed to Dre’s de-mentor, Suge), Royce da 5’9″ (Em’s renewed friend), and Joe Budden (who is just…Joe Budden, lol).
The combo was premiered on RapRadar, and 2DopeBoyz hinted at future collabs.
So here are the “rumors” that I’m hearing…
That Slaughterhouse appearance in “Forever,” was indeed a non-verbal announcement of the contract negotiations going on behind the scenes. For the past month, both sides have been working towards bringing the group to the Shady label. And that the gathering of Em and the guys at the shoot, is the first of more collaborations to come.
For now, Eminem is working on Relapse II, in Detroit. Joe is working on The Great Escape. Royce is preparing his Oct. release, StreetHop. Crooked I is working on an EP called Mr. Pig Face Weapon Waist (lol!). And Slaughterhouse will be on the road with TechN9ne for all of Oct and Nov. But fans all want to see Em plus Slaughter on a track (especially Em and Royce). Imagine the killer verse volleys!
Hopefully we’ll see some progress on this Shady/Slaughterhouse “rumor” in the next few months. It’s good for hiphop.
Thoughts?

September 23rd, 2009 at 5:31 am
Love it !!!!! Except….. drop budden boy and bring on papoose or daytona, woah !! Saw that one, no? Neither will we
September 23rd, 2009 at 6:28 am
I’d love to see this go down ONLY IF Shady can guarantee that an album from SH will actually materialize within a certain amount of time. They gotta strike while the iron is hot.
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:11 am
Wow that would be a GREAT look for hiphop. We know the monster that was Shady/Aftermath about five years ago and quite frankly Slaughterhouse would fit perfectly into the “Shady” environment. Songs like “cuckoo” have Em written all over it! Fingers crossed!
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:21 am
Pax you suck… Joe is dope, better then papoose for the fit of the group.. your just mad… lol paxprime = Jabbawockez killa
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:23 am
Waaaaw. Could you imagine Slim as part of Slaughterhouse? That be the album of the year.
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:36 am
This is a great look for them man could you imagine those tracks with Crooked I and 50 or Em and Joe Budden? Its going to be a good move they put out a dope album with not enough videos and some good records!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:39 am
DO I DARE SAY…2010 IS THE YEAR HIP HOP RETURNS…NO LET ME FALLBACK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS 🙂
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:49 am
Sounds good. Hopefully the actual sales of such a collaborative would back but the hype behind it cause for all the internet support for Slaughterhouse……nobody, myself included put that $10 down for the album.
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:51 am
Good for hip hop most definitely. How long ago did Royce and em start fucking with each other again???
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:56 am
LOOKED AT THE VIDEO…DAMN EM LYRICS ARE FIYAH..THAT WHITE BOY IS DANGEROUS ON A MIC!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:58 am
em killed that track and slaughterhouse being on shady records seems like a good fit.
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:45 am
Papoose ^ come on, pap is horrible. Go slam your head into a brick wall.
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:59 am

(Ortiz back on Interscope.??? Gotta read the Labels © The Gza)
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:30 am
So wait…correct me if I’m wrong, but…the same guy who jumped ship as soon as he got a deal with Tommy Boy…this guy’s group…is about to become Eminem’s main focus once again? While D12 stays on the back burner? Yeah, I know D12 ain’t really hot right now, but still, they had his back when he was going at it with Royce. IMO, shit seems kinda foul…
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:45 am
Are we really sure we want this to happen? All 4 of these guys have had problems with major labels, specfically this one. And Shady hasn’t exactly been able to get albums by everyone apart from Obie Trice and D12.
As much as Em would champion these guys, it depends on what Jimmy says and he may force them to comprimise.
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:48 am
Em bodied the track and video.
Shady + Slaughterhouse = Win
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:49 am
YEA THAT WOULD BE PREFECT…..
MAYBE THATS WHY EMINEM FREESTYLED OVER THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE SONG “MICROPHONE”…
LOL COMBINE THE AUDIO IN EMS FREESTYLE AND MICROPHONE…AND IT SOUNDS LIKE EMINEMS VERSE FITS…..
YUP THAT COLLAB WOULD BE PERFECT
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:57 am
why do ppl still bother signing to shady they should take some notes from obie, stat, bobby, and the countless other graveyard artists who hav never had a single album dropped in 10 years cashish hasnt even dropped yet y sign these bum rappers atleast drop ur current rosters albums who have been waiting for a decade now lol
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:03 am
VERY good for hip-hop.
That’s a big look for them if/when it becomes official… and much-deserved after that album.
-D!
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:12 am
Lmao

To the rest of you keyboard commandos
“lick up a shot, no dick ridaaaa” -;)
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:30 am
This would be amazing. As long as they dont get the bobby creekwater/stat quo treatment. Not that they would. Their actually good.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:31 am
God damn.. all of them together on a track… This is gonna get exciting.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:50 am
the original renegades back on track ( in case u don’t know before Jay and em did renegades em and Royce did the original renegade song and Royce to murdered Jay on his own shit)
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:10 pm
papxprime [edit] , joe is nice , one of hiphops best mc . not to mention he is the founding member of slaughterhouse, how could you drop him . papoose is ok but overrated plus his career is going nowhere fucking with kayslay.
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:12 pm
co sign that fully !!
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:46 pm
ur crazy fam. pap will eat joe alive. joe is crazy overrated.
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:49 pm
all of yall buggin joe is better than papoose lyrically. are u serious?
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:52 pm
I DON’T KNOW I HAVE MIXED FEELING ABOUT THIS NOT SO MUCH AS FOR SHADY BUT FOR INTERSCOPE, I’D HATE TO SEE THEM ON THAT ALBUM AND THEN HEAR ALBUM PUSH BACK DELAY DRAMA….BESIDES ALL THAT IT WOULD IN FACT BE DOPE TO SEE THEM UP ON A MAJOR SO LONG AS THEY KEEP DR.DRE AWAY FROM THIS PROJECT OTHERWISE NOTHING WILL COME OUT BY THESE GUYS….DR.DRE RATHER DO A DR.PEPPER COMMERICAL THEN RELEASE DETOX? HAHAHA WOW I SEE WHERE YOUR HEAD IS AT LOL SAT ON RAEKWON, DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH RAKIM?
September 23rd, 2009 at 12:58 pm
This is one of those things that sounds good on paper but it’s the execution that has me worried. I understand that we all love Eminem and he’s in the top 5 current rap lyricists out there but let’s understand one thing…he sucks as a record label (boutique label at that) owner/executive.
Now before everyone starts screamin 50 Cent, understand that Fiddy came to Em pretty much prepackaged. All those guys over at shady/aftermath/interscope had to do is provide distribution and a hot first single and it would be a slam dunk. And 50 turned out to be the best investment Em has made in his career. Can Eminem break a new artists, no. Don’t believe me speak to Stat Quo, Obie Trice, Bobby Creekwater, Cashis, Slim Da Mobster & D12. All of these artists that I just mentioned, can anyone name any of their records without Google or Youtube? Think not. And are these guys prepared to listen to Em when he starts telling them what they need to do to take this Slaughterhouse thing to the next level. If Em tells Mouse to shut down JoeBuddenTV and kill the Livestream will Joe listen? Clearly it looks like they are trying to get The Wu-Tang deal (sign as a group with option to sign elsewhere as a solo artist). Eminem is kinda overrated as a producer. He seems to only make decent music for himself. And I know he did the Cross joint for NaS but I don’t know of a Eminem record he’s produced that I homerun knock out the park hot shit. Obviously, we are looking for Dr. Dre to walk into a Slaughterhouse session and bless them with something. And at the end of the day everything still has to go through Jimmy Iovine. And everyone is familiar with Iovine putting artists whose material he doesn’t feel is hot in Jimmy Jail. This feels like The Revenge Of The Ortiz. Couldn’t get it done on Aftermath, well then I’ll try Shady. And also is this all on Em? With 50, Em and Dre went half on it so Dre had invested interest in the project so I wonder if Dre is in on this as well. If not then this will be a uphill battle. Em is not the most social dude out there so how hard will he campaign for these dudes in the marketplace. And if this deal does go down, can XXL mag stop frontin and give Slaughterhouse the cover?
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:03 pm
Budden spits, but I can’t co-sign his actions anymore. Maybe Serious Jones? Jae Millz? Cory Gunz?
No i got it, HELL RELL!! (plz note my sarcasm)
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:03 pm
The Real story is this info:
SH: So where you going royce?
Royce: gonna go to this eminem shoot for the forever video..
SH: OH WORD CAN WE COME?!!?
Royce: yeah just get your plane tickets and roll with me as my entourage….
SH: FUCK YEAH WE GET TO MEET EMINEM!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:10 pm
are you serious Papoose for Joe Budden…. N**** pleaseeeeee … never say that again
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:10 pm
very astute reasoning….I wonder the same things. But you know the one good thing is that Slaughterhouse is at this point a very self-sufficient entity, so at the very least they can still promote their project as they have been thru webwork and touring.
September 23rd, 2009 at 1:41 pm
man i hope they dont go that route, every last one of them are better actual rappers than em!!! He may say more shocking stuff but they all rap better than him!!! oh well i guess ill never understand two things, why everybody is doing this tweeting crap, and eminem?????????? im lost!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 2:11 pm
Miss Info: Slaughterhouse and Shady Records Deal May Be In The Works…
According to Miss Info, the appearance of Slaughterhouse with Eminem in the “Forever” video may not be pure coincedence.
……
September 23rd, 2009 at 2:41 pm
id rather any artist sign to Shady rather than Bad Boy or Cash Money! as long as they “Slaughterhouse” dont forget to market themselves as they have been, itll be a good look
September 23rd, 2009 at 3:07 pm
one of the hiphops best??????? really? would love some examples
can you tell me a song/line to confirm this? no sarcasm..
damn if someone messes with kayslay its not a good look, my man is in style warz, he paid the most dues, then again … first word comes to my mind about now a dayz gucci man
hahahahhaha
September 23rd, 2009 at 3:45 pm
YAOWA!!!!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:01 pm
Papoose would guerilla monsoon joe budden. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL You smokin big fuckin pieces of CRACK baked in Heroin kid!
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:04 pm
Are you serious, just like everyone else who signs a group or individual to their label, Slaughterhouse will get pimped, and squeezed to see how much cash they could generate for shady/aftermath…then thrown to the curb.
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:07 pm
HIP HIP DIED when Nas said it was dead. It’s never returning!!!!! bunch of foolishness out there now, and that’s what the media wants, and the new generation is brainwashed by this new era rap music, to think that it is dope! and nothing else that sounds nowhere near what you hear today is worthy rap music. Real m.c.’s are gettin no shine, nor props! HIP HOP ID DEAD WORLD…..FACE IT! We might as well go listen to rock n roll now, so we can all party like rock stars.SMH
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:11 pm
you sooooooooo right duke! D12 is now blowin in the wind, which is what will eventually happen to SH. give it some time yo.
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:12 pm
we all dont love eminem
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:29 pm
o-k
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:34 pm
2010 is going to be a good year
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:42 pm
i always wondered the spelling of that! loves it when Joell says it!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 4:52 pm
this will be a good look for Shady records, the fact of the matter is unlike cashis or bobby creekwater. Slaughterhouse is actually marketable and they have a fan base already. They will sell with interscope machine backing them up. Joe is the founder of the group and he is the one that brings attention to the group either good or bad. SH would be stupid to drop him. He is the reason they have a buzz.
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:07 pm
Think they squashed shit early last year – kinda clears it up on Move On:
“Since I made up with Em there’s nothing else
That I can move on from so who wants some”
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:27 pm
You could almost replace Shady with any other label and that sentence would still work. How’s Young Money working out for Jae Millz? Omarion?
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Pap the Man in all But Joe Budden has not been proved a lie yet when he go against dudes so I don’t think saying he would loose to anybody is a fair judgement since he gives hell to who he battles LYRICALLY for people who want to put other things into topic
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:31 pm
I mean it sound good and all but why would Joell go back to a situation where he was not taken care of first time around? I could see this deal if there contracts depend as a group but as individuals Joell had a tough time with them and after what Croked went through to drop a label I can’t see this deal being with there solo albums
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:47 pm
WHEN THESE ARTISTS GONNA LEARN!!! STOP SIGNIN’ TO THESE RAPPERS RECORD LABEL!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY NOT EVEN HOT!!! THESE NIGGAS IS THINKIN’ CUZ THEY ZIGNED TO EM’S LABEL THEY WOULD GET MORE ALBUM SALES N POPULARITY!!! EMINEM AIN’T HOT NO MORE!!! HE PAST HIS PEAK AS AN ARTIST!!! SAME SHIT WIT 50!!! MOP MOBB DEEP SIGNED TO HIS LABEL!!! N LOOK WUT THE FUCK HAPPENED!!! STOP SIGNIN’ TO THESE RAPPERS’ LABELS!!! IT DON’T MAKE SENSE!!! THEY NOT GONNA PUT INALL THERE ENERGY ON YOUR PROJECT!!! THEY THINKIN’ ABOUT THEIR OWN SHIT!!! SLAUGHTERHOUSE IS GONNA LEARN THE HARD WAY!!! AND AIN’T SHADY RECORDS IN DEBT??!! SUCKA MOVE BY THESE NIGGAS!!!!
DON’T HATE ON MY OPINION!!!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:47 pm
YO papoose is wack, i aint that big of a budden fan but he brings an element to the group papoose or anyone can bring
September 23rd, 2009 at 5:58 pm
All of this is irrelevant Slaughter house is a very talented GROUP! they are a group with a great chemistry all members are equally important and if any members where changed it would be noticed and the music would suffer with that said Paps a looser him and his stupid jail bird wife the dude has no star quality he can rap great but so can alot of people so what makes him pap so different from the slew of other boring mix tape rappers from esp. new york and else where as well over the last 10 years they’re all the same the whole lot of em and they are where they are in there careers because that’s where they belong
September 23rd, 2009 at 6:07 pm
Well done I feel you with every point you made longwinded like the name by the way LOL and I hear what Miss info had to offer as well all around well done now if we could just delete everyone elses non-sense comments that have little to do with this topic and just have what you two just said as the definitive statements 😉
September 23rd, 2009 at 6:13 pm
I’ll keep it short cause longwinded said everything I wanted too this is good for hip-hop slaughter house are some super talented dudes but i would proceed with caution Em doesn’t have the greatest record with running his boutique label over there at interscope see comment 32 for evidence, come to think of it interscope itself has been having a tough time running there own label the black eyed peas, GAGA and maybe Em’s new album are the only things keeping them a float these days
September 23rd, 2009 at 6:52 pm
i think the hardcore heads r lookin forward to a crooked/eminem collabo the most
September 23rd, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Even though you need to learn how to type or use spell check, I see what you mean.
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:21 pm
this nigga said ‘P00SE .. LOL’z … duke burnt himself out with 16,000 mixtapes before he even started lol … nothing left to rhyme about…
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:22 pm
If the rumor is true, I myself hope they don’t lose their independent/hungry/raw edge signing with a major label.
Part of Slaughterhouses appeal are in those three things.
Four guys who got forgotten/jerked on major labels pull a Voltron to make Hip Hop in it’s purist form.
On another note:
Not an Eminem fan at all but I must give the man props.
When was the last time you heard someone GO IN on mainstream song like that?
I feel like Em’s verse/appearance in the song/video was monumental by comparison in today’s typical “Hip Hop” standards.
We have three of the most talked about MC’s today in one song.
Drake, Kanye, and Wayne. Who each claim they are the new crowned kings of Hip Hop or have enough buzz to rival 50’s old buzz.
Then comes Em who silences almost all questions, claims, disbelief by single-handedly flipping his flow, throwing subliminals, and sharp metaphors.
True Hip Hop.
Since Jay-Z is watered down, Lil Wayne is… Lil Wayne(sorry new generation he IS NOT the one… never was), has Eminem become the best rapper alive(NOT of all time)?
Thoughts?
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:36 pm
How about some comments on the video? It was horrible! It’s one of those songs that’s too good for a video. I don’t know about yall, but to me it was not good.
September 23rd, 2009 at 7:52 pm
LOL Why does everyone always start a reply to me with “ARE YOU SERIOUS”
I wasn’t extreme in that post very moderate lol I guess folks miss me bringing the heat lol iight I’m back!! hahaha
As to your comment they will get pimped if they every drop a fucking record at all hahahahah
Shady has dropped at least 8 rappers who were talented so what the hell.. this might never happen!!
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:04 pm
i m just happy reading this, and happy for them at the same time!
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:16 pm
Why Joel Ortiz Look like Prince Markie D?…LOLOL
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMKdDPpIAcs
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:42 pm
THIS IS NOT A GOOD MOVE PERIOD
IT DON’T EVEN LOOK GOOD ON PAPER
SLAUGHTERHOUSE PLEASSSE STAY INDEPENDENT
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:42 pm
WORD!
September 23rd, 2009 at 8:54 pm
my thoughts r that em is reviving four careers in one swoop.
September 23rd, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Good Looking Info & Kenny. My only issue with their self-promotion is that the only thing they got to show for it was 18,000 in sales and a Wu-Tang fiasco. It seemed that Joe was the only person going hard with the web promotion. Their internet soldiers did not show up. I’m very interested in hearing Eminem’s reasons for being interested in signing these guys. I saw some people online say that these guys are like a new age Wu-Tang. Being completely real and quiet as kept, lyrically, these guys would rap circles around most of Wu. Not all, but most. But Wu came in the game pre-packaged and ready to go. How do you market a Slaughterhouse? That’s gonna be very interesting to see with major label money how it is gonna be spent promoting these guys. This group needs one or maybe 2 producers to give them a sound and they may have a shot at real commercial success. They also need someone to tell them just because they are in a group doesn’t mean on every song they all have to rap on it. It could be 2 of them or even 3 of them. Not 4 each and every time. Having Eminem around hopefully will eliminate that. I’ve noticed whenever people talk about Slaughterhouse, they mention them being a supergroup. Now my version of a supergroup is each part being great in itself then forming like Voltron and forming something greater. But each of these guys as solo artists really haven’t achieved much, if not anything. So what makes them super? Don’t get me wrong, I listen to each of these guys music and have purchased some of it but them coming together only highlighted what was already a issue…they really can’t make songs. Each of them are lyricists in every sense of the word but something is missing. I like to call it the “Jada” effect. Great lyricists, mediocre songs. Every rapper can’t A&R their own projects. You can see some artists get in their own way. I wish Dante Ross would give seminars to A&Rs on how to groom rap artists for greatness. I’m still a believer of an artist taking their time before they give the general public their finished product. Their album felt like a collection of records that they did instead of a cohesive album. Just because you can do an album in 2 weeks don’t mean you should do it. They should have jumped on each other’s projects first and then came with it. Then we would have all gotten familiar with them as a collective and wanted it more. Here’s the real question…which Slaughterhouse member stands to benefit greater from this alliance? My pick Joell Ortiz. What say you and why?
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:07 pm
if they signed to shady we wont see an album for like 4 years if history repeats itself ….obie, stat, creekwater,
JOELL ORTIZ – FREE AGENT, WE NEED THAT
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:24 pm
Good comments, bruh, I agree with most of it, though I think D12 did a little better than you’re giving them credit. As Info said, SH, like 50 come pretty much pre-packaged as well. They’ve already proven they can market themselves & put together an outstanding album, independently & rock a national tour. Also, each member markets themselves individually, away from the group and brings that collective fanbase back to the fold. On another note, I think this is exactly what the Dr. ordered (Pun intended) to bring Em out of the Proof\Pills funk he’s been in as fo late. These lyrical mofos will light a fire under his ass and he will have to step his game up or risk losing that so-called “top 5” status he enjoys. And he must know that, I don’t think he would set his self up like that. So hopefully all goes well, call me an optimist.
Peace.
September 23rd, 2009 at 10:40 pm
?
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:08 pm
On the other hand
d12 & obie, were doing fine till proof died and em fell off the radar. I think most of those other artists were an odd fit at the wrong time.
Lately em’s been a bit of a press whore, doing interviews all over the place before and after relapse. Getting on that forever track. I dunno, I think this could work.
I think this an appropriate point to quote Budden from who.
artists started signing friends instead of finding n*s with skill/
seen it when d12 put out purple pills/ and while we all had a good laugh them N*s sold a mil/
Or something like that.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:09 pm
blue pouch,
define shine…Real Hip-Hop never asked for respect from the media, the system, the powers that be, corporate america, etc. That’s what’s defined as a sell-out/pop star.
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:16 pm
Canibus would dog
papoose marshall
joe budden Quick
crooked and LL um i mean Royce
(shhh might sell)
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 pm
any of you guys calling for papoose over budden obviously havent heard some of the garbage papoose has dropped over the past 3 months. it’s bad; like horrible. i’m actually shocked that Pap put out music that terrible.
btw, i have no problem with Pap and used to like him, but man……he’s fallen off hard recently
September 23rd, 2009 at 11:41 pm
Katastrophee
you’re talking about grown men here. D12 should be able to carry themselves with or without Em. Where are the the D12 mixtapes at? Why is D12 not hot right now? because they don’t promote themselves, basically out of sight equals out of mind!
SH have been on their grind…if they not touring together, they dropping mix-tapes together and dolo mixtapes, similar to G-Unit.
Labels don’t want to do the work anymore, so the artist have to pickup the slack (e.g. Def Jam artist when Jay was running the label). SH won’t blow in the wind if they keep the same work ethic they have now.
Seriously where is Obie Trice, Bobby Creek, Stat Quo?
September 24th, 2009 at 8:11 am
If this happens no one will stop the shady/aftermath/g unit fam from takin over
September 24th, 2009 at 10:27 am
Drop Budden and bring in Cassidy
September 24th, 2009 at 10:29 am
I vote Cassidy to replace Joe Budden. That would be a slaughterhouse.
September 24th, 2009 at 10:41 am
I don’t really understand why people talk so much about marketing strategy and record sales and shit these days. I don’t know anything about that shit – not my job. I know one thing, (without Google too,) I was riding to D-12 Devil’s Night..
September 24th, 2009 at 10:58 am
can’t be mad at dat. Dat’s actually tight. And Em’s verse is da best, hands down. That’s two well-know times though that I know that Em murdered people on they own track. lol-First Jay-Z, now Drake. And speaking of Drake, this is the second time he got murdered on his own track. lol First time was Nipsey Hussle on da Killer joint, now Em on dis Forever. These rappers be taking L’s like Lewinsky! lol
September 24th, 2009 at 11:15 am
EXACTLY!!!!!
Somewhere along the line we all started attempting to be A/R’s and Execs and not just being FANS OF MUSIC.

Yes it has! Since the days of yo mtv raps(when they would spend a half hour just to play THREE! rap songs once a week) and the rest of the day you would see all other kinds of music on mtv. from sugarhill gettin record deals! to stop havin police harrass a nigga! hip hop has asked for respect. For people to stop sayin hip hop aint really music, from people sayin stop blamin rap for violence, when Gov. arnold, and rambo make just as violent stories in they movies. from bustin a nigga for a blunt, when they dont say shit about heavy metal people with pounds of coke in their tour buses. For cops to stop sterotypin people cause they look hip hop….yes my dude…. YES HIP HOP HAS ASKED FOR RESPECT! The rappers YOU dont hear, that have true talent, ask for respect, cause they are overshadowed by rappers who really dont have talent, just the mass’s vote. POP STARS????? Them’s the artist you see out today, who so call rhyme.
September 24th, 2009 at 1:45 pm
true!
September 24th, 2009 at 1:54 pm
Kinda true.
papoose, fell thru the cracks.
His deal aint never happen. Only God knows why.
He was fire on the mic.
He made wayyyyyy too many mixtapes.
My opinion, he had at least 12 fire singles to make a classic hip hop album.
His skills are classic, people aint like that(haters).
Him not bein in the game, puts alot of minds at rest.
Alot of respected old heads recognized his skillz and did tracks with him. You dont see that now a days.
September 24th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
sharp metaphors???? Oh ni@@a please…LOL
September 24th, 2009 at 1:58 pm

September 24th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
Lil Wayne? That you?
September 24th, 2009 at 6:54 pm
HA Pap for Joey, that’s down right stupid. He ain’t gonna be replaced and if he was gonna be replaced then the only obvious choice in my mind would be STIMULI. For those that don’t know him your loss, but he’s the only dude who i see that could lyrically keep up with the rest and deserves a deal.
September 24th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
are you serious?lol.devils night and d12 world where both great cds.eminem also produced renegade for jay-z along with the big and pac track runnin.hell the whole cd.not to mention the tupac cd (which wasnt that bad at all).em is a decent producer with a few great tracks.people also forget most of the artists you named that never got released where not on shady they where on aftermath.blame iovine.their roster got too huge to contain everyone on it,(eve, busta rhymes, rakim, bobby creek, stat quo,d12,obie trice,50 and g-unit,cashis,papoose,joe ortiz)everyone wanted beats from dre.he couldnt do it for everyone, which is ,mainly the reason why detox got pushed so far back.people need to check the facts before they spit ignorant assumptions.class dissmissed
September 24th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
maybe because people listen to eminem.the majority rules on this one. jump on the boat or drown.btw jay-z nas, game, rakim, dre they are all on this boat along with a slew of other top tier rappers who think the same.eminem is great one of the best.its been proven.thats why people like him, wait correct that love him.and your just plain stupid to say they are all better than eminem.because face it if they where they would be in his place.not the place they are in.a group of above average rappers tryin to sign to a major,so they can get more exposure.think before you type.
September 24th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
hows 50 feel about buddens tho?? they was beefing ….interesting
September 24th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
agreed…brought eminem bak to the spotlight, especially for mainstream cats, cus relaspe was watevers.
September 24th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Buddens and Papoose are both hit and miss rappers that can tear up a track at will. However if you want the replacement that has sick rhyming patterns and complex flows, you should be looking at Termanology
September 24th, 2009 at 10:37 pm
GREAT for Hip-Hop. Great for both Slaughterhouse, Eminem, and their respective careers BOTH.
Maybe not so great for D-12 & Cashis or whoever else is left on the Shady roster.
September 25th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
People should just admit Em flows the best right now. Who can see him on a track? Nas, Jay? Not even. Dude is retarded.
September 25th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
@ prince rude whatever the fuck
YEAH EMINEM WENT PLAT BUT U NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AFTER THAT!!! HE JUST DISAPPEARED!!! THE ALBUM WASN’T REALLY EVEN TALKED ABOUT!!! U DUMB FOOL!!! N BEFORE P WENT TO JAIL MOBB DEEP DIDN’T SELL N THEY LOST THEIR FAN BASE!!! AND WE NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT MOP!!! SO SHUT THE FUCK U DUMB FOOL!!! DON’T QUESTION ME ON THIS HIP HOP SHIT U LITTLE SHIT!!!!

September 28th, 2009 at 8:38 am
Sorry Info…seems like you got this one wrong….we can still dream though…
September 29th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Thank God, not another post about a lethargic, extremely mediocre 90s rapper, filled with completely unsubstantiated, nonsensical, rantings posted by 25-year-old pseudo-intellectuals stan boys who wear tight pants who obviously know as much about lyricism and musical quality in Hip Hop as I know about superstring theory.
I hope to God Slaughterhouse goes to Shady. Although some of you pedantic haters try so dilligently to refute the facts, WHEN EM HAS BEEN ACTIVE, his roster has outsold those of any other subsidiary record label owned by a Hip Hop artist – by leaps and bounds I might add. Every single artist under Em prior to his hiatus sold over a million records, with some going multiplatinum, and even diamond.
They don’t need to have solo releases on shady to make a shitload of money as a result of the affiliation. As long as he promotes them and they show face alongside him publicly, over time they will garner more and more attention.
The last thing you want is an immediate SH album release on Shady. They should continue their scheduled album cycles (Relapse 2, BISD, perhaps Detox lol…). Then, after the rest of the label has the world buzzing with their albums, slaughterhouses global fanbase has grown significantly (through public recognition and the excitement surrounding the shady/aftermath roster), they can drop an official SH album and it will be commercially successful.
This would be similair to how Em and Dre introduced 50 Cent to their prepostrously massive global fanbases after their extremely successful album cycles and GRODT sold through the roof (so much for the ridiculous “pre-packaged” theory two of the delusional haters posted before me were suggesting; yeah I’m sure 50 Cent came with a 100 million fans world wide when he signed to the label, ‘lulz’).
Obviously, SlaughterHouse will never have anywhere near the commercial success of 50 Cent, especially given todays market – it still would seem the most intelligent and efficient course of action.
Meanwhile, the Slaughterhouse members can continue to drop individual street albums, mixtapes, and/or even a group mixtape while their waiting (you know their street/independent music game is serious). Also, these projects too will benefit over time from their growing fan fare as a result of being promoted by and affiliated with Eminem and his label mates.

Eminem smash’t Drake,Lil Wayne nd Kanye West on Drake’s new Video “Forever”…
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:33 pm
First off, I have been banging the Slaughterhouse joint all summer long!! It’s a breath of fresh air for hip hop. I listen to all four solo before and think they were the best underground emcees out. It made my hair stand up when I heard they were getting together! Then Eminem drops a weak Relapse album?!! I thought it was the end for Slim after that. All I can say IS F CKING WOW!!! Em is offically back. I murdered that verse like the old EM! He knows what he is signing. That is exactly why he is so fired up. He has a possible “Death Row” type of label the roster talent. Watch what happens if they drop on Shady. Every great rapper will come running and game over again! Dre will drop and we have HIP HOP AGAIN!! God Bless
November 5th, 2009 at 9:43 am
nigga you sound like a cambridge dropout that dont know hip hop you probably started listening to hip hop when em dropped his first album

You better believe Joey B is better than Pap lyrically…
when i think of pap i think of a rhyme dictionary gone wrong…
fair nuff dude can rhyme but no soul, stuck in same revolutionary/gutter style thats got no reach in this day and age…
Lyrically Buddens bodies papoose for this reason, what buddens writes about and hits on are typical, real life situations – self reflective mood muzik killer shit that will either make you hate him or love him, depends on imo how real YOU are, or if you wana still live in this fantasy life where your the focal character of GTA living in coolios gangster paradise haha, jokes…
For real though
SLAUGHTERHOUSE BABY! YEAH! haha

Jeez I posted this comment forever ago why am I just getting a response now, anyways.
@ grill get your facts straight man, same Ivy League yes but wrong school, I’m a Colombia GRAD! from college of Medicine to be exact, not cambridge. Whether or not I know Hip-hop is your opinion, and opinions are like ass holes (something your probably very familiar with) everyones got one so you’re entitled to that. It’s my OPINION that pap is boring and has not one single quality that makes him stand out from other corny mixtape rappers maybe except his stupid name LOL. But since my opinion differs from yours, I know nothing about hip-hop right? LOL fucking idiots like you are why I support Euthanasia (look it up) LOL. So do me a favor keep holding your breath of that Papoose hit record cause odds are you’ll run out of air long before that ever happens and that would be a great thing for the world. Peace!
@Jamalthegod “watch my mouth” or what? LOL fact I’m not white, funny you thought so though I guess I can form a intelligent thought and convey it clearly in a sentence so I’ve gotta be white right? You simple minded fuck!
Lets break it down Remy’s who rapped about being worth tons of money which I’m sure was more hip-hop bullshit cause the bitch was broke shot her friend in the torso over 1000$ stupid. she’s a women, well kinda LOL. She’s in jail for 8 years at Bedford Hills. All of that = stupid jail bird LOL so what exactly was I wrong about.
So go find that bone you were talking about wanting to “naw” on (actually spelled “gnaw”) you fucking idiot but I’m the stupid one right, and enjoy your day.
