Hip-Hop icon Snoop Dogg received his just due on Monday afternoon (Nov. 19), as the Long Beach native was the 2651st honoree to be enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place in front of the El Capitan Entertainment Center on Hollywood Boulevard, where Jimmy Kimmel Live! is taped weekly.

The 16-time Grammy-nominated rapper was presented with his plaque by Jimmy Kimmel himself. The legendary Quincy Jones and Dr. Dre also stepped to the podium to honor the musician, pivotal in the rise of the West Coast hip-hop scene during the 1990s.

Pharrell Williams, film director John Singleton, Warren G, Ty Dolla $ign, BattleCat, Lakers president Jeanie Buss, and NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were some of the stars in entertainment who attended the event.

Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, thanked Quincy Jones for playing a key positive role throughout his career. “Now I’m looking back on it I can say I am thankful for Quincy being who he was for trying to tell us to get our lives right, be more positive and more productive because now that I’m a positive and productive man I can walk around more peaceful, more happy, said the 47-year-old.

Jones, would go on to call the artist/actor/entrepreneur a “visionary” before introducing him to the stage. “You are not just an artist and entertainer you are a visionary and you deserve this star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and every other recognition that comes your way.”

The celebration comes the same week as the 25th anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s 1993 classic debut album, Doggystyle. Watch the full induction ceremony below.
