Following his surprise appearance at a Section Boyz show in London back in February, Drake announced that he was “the first Canadian signed to BBK,” the Grime label and crew headed by brothers Skepta and JME. Due to the obvious complications that would arise with his existing contract with Young Money/Cash Money, though, many fans interpreted it as Drake simply pledging his allegiance to his British brethren, in a 2 Chainz-joins-G.O.O.D. Music kinda way.

However, it turns out Drake might actually be the first Canadian on Boy Better Know after all.

In a new interview with London’s Time Out magazine, Skepta, speaking on the matter for the first time, claims that a deal with Drizzy is indeed in place, and it won’t affect his current situation with Young Money. “We’re putting together an official worldwide BBK label,” he said. “But we haven’t talked about how it’ll work yet. It’ll be separate to his existing contracts. Trust me, I am not gonna sue Lil Wayne.”

Drake already has BBK tatted on him, so we know it’s real.
