Having already dropped one of the year’s best albums, Care For Me — a powerful, personal and gorgeously-produced project that centers around the death of his late cousin and collaborator, John Walt — Saba caps off his crowning year with the release of this new song, “Stay Right Here.” The quirky, upbeat track features a guest verse from fellow Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins, who recently released his own Album of the Year contender Pieces of a Man, and a smooth hook from Xavier Omär.

With its buoyant refrain of “look at all the love around me,” “Stay Right Here” feels like the spiritual extension of Saba’s Care For Me closer, “Heaven All Around Me.” It’s just as beautiful.
