Following the soulful “Hesitate,” Rockie Fresh continues to stoke the fire for his upcoming debut album (slated for a release next year) with this second new song, “I Need.” The Chicago rapper looks to the UK for inspiration on this one, flipping renaissance man Maverick Sabre’s original with the help of Peezy’s clunking drums and sorrowing synths. “If patience brings millions then I’m ’bout it then/It’s hard, though, like trying to live life without a sin,” Rockie raps as he wrestles with the trouble on his mind. The life of a major label rapper isn’t all rosy, you know.
