It was all good just a week ago for MMG, but Rick Ross is committed to being the glue that keeps his crew together. Yesterday the Bawse issued a statement to MTV on Meek Mill’s jail sentence for violating his probation, which will see him spend three to six months behind bars. In it, he offers his full support for Meek during this tough time and vows to keep his upcoming album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, on track for its September 9 release.

While Ross has yet to directly address the other controversy surrounding Meek Mill — the rift between him and group mate Wale which was brought to light through a series of unfiltered tweets earlier this week — he sent out the below tweet hours after Meek’s Twitter tirade.

Read Rick Ross’ statement on Meek Mill’s sentencing below…

I created MMG years ago, my desire was to create a space where the most talented artists in the world could be nurtured and supported. With that came a commitment. I vowed to support these artist, through the good and the bad. Every individual signed to MMG is not just an artist, they are my family. And with family you ride, or you die. Yesterday, my brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues. It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek’s plan as close to schedule as possible. His album is coming. We ask that the fans and the media continue to support him and his music during this time. He’ll be home soon. ‘Dreams Are Worth More Than Money,’ and family is worth more than Everything. MMG FOR LIFE.
