Remy Ma has found herself in trouble with the law. The Bronx rapper surrendered to the 13th Precinct detective squad in Manhattan on Wednesday (May 1), for punching Love & Hip-Hop cast member Brittany Taylor. The 38-year-old is being accused of hitting Taylor, 29, in the eye at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at NYC’s Irving Plaza on April 17.

After being treated for a black eye at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Taylor reported the incident to authorities the following day. In a now deleted Instagram post showing her black eye, Brittany Taylor spoke on the incident, questioning Remy in the process.

“So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it’s hard to even focus because of what occurred last night,” she said. “I didn’t wanna bring it to social media because Its pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn’t work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this?”

Remy has been charged with assault and harassment, with bail set at $1,500. Judge Josh Hanshaft also issued an order of protection for Taylor. This is Remy’s first encounter with the law since being released from prison back in 2014. After serving seven years in prison, the Terror Squad star has taken her career to new heights and welcomed a baby girl late last year with husband Papoose.
