Remy Ma is almost home. The Bronx rapper, sentenced to eight years in prison following a 2008-shooting in New York City, will be released on Thursday, July 31. Currently finishing the last ten days of her bid at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in Weschester County, Remy called into Angie Martinez to speak on her long-awaited return.

During their 14-minute conversation, Remy touched on life in prison, being married to Papoose for six years, reconciling with Fat Joe ( “That was one of my epiphanies that I had. I was like, ‘OK, now I see why he wanted to kill me“), getting plenty of offers from music labels, the status of females in Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj, getting her associates degree in sociology, and an upcoming reality show.
