Clipse is about to be back by popular demand. Over the weekend, Pusha T confirmed a reunion from the Thornton brothers by writing, “It’s coming…” on Facebook. His post included a link to an article on Karen Civil, which reports that those photos we saw from Ziplock P’s studio session with The Neptunes are also proof that Push and No Malice are working on new material for an “untitled independent project” (yes, with the help of Pharrell and Chad Hugo). Needless to say, we can’t wait.

UPDATE: Or not. In a new interview with DJ Heat that surfaced today, Pusha T shoots down the notion that Clipse is reuniting. He claims that he didn’t fuel the rumors and didn’t intend to mislead fans. However, he did end off by saying, “BUT… we just working.”

I never leaked anything about the Clipse. I didn’t do that. All I did was tell everybody I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad. And then there was a leak that happened and other people just found out that other people were down. But I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t do that. So, right now I’m on my Pusha T right now. I don’t wanna mislead nobody, BUT… we just working.

As for the Clipse’s other half, No Malice recently told Pow TV Rap Show that he is “very proud of the Clipse catalog,” but “that’s not the kind of music I’m doing.” And like his brother, he didn’t totally kill off the prospect of a new album by later stating, “I still hold out hope for a Clipse reunion.”
