This fall, Pharrell Williams is set to release his first travel memoir titled Places and Spaces I’ve Been. The book will be written by Pharrell and feature contributions from Jay-Z, Ambra Medda, Nigo, and Takashi Murakami. You can pre-order the book now that’s set to his shelves on October 16. In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Skateboard P spoke a little on what to expect.
GQ: Tell me about your upcoming travel book, Places & Spaces I’ve Been.
Pharrell: It’s just things and people that have moved me and inspired me around the world and that I am also honored to know.

After the jump, Pharrell and Jermaine Dupri document their NYC promo-trip with singer Leah Labelle…..
Before we get to hear singer Leah LaBelle’s debut album, Pharrell and JD took the former American Idol contestant on a promo run to meet some of the key figures behind-the-scenes important to her budding career. The trio make stops to Sony Records, VEVO, Billboard, and VIBE Magazine. Even catch Mikey Fresh at the roundtable taking in the new music. It isn’t all about the internet, ground work and meeting people is just as important.

am I the only one to find Jermaine mad annoying? from him trying to push an artist on all them media in conference rooms with headphones in his ears, to talking shit to his driver, to not evening being able to answer a simple-ass question about what it was about Leah’s YouTube videos that made him wanna co-sign her…
I mean he got a loaded rolodex for sure but damn… mad uncomfortable vibes…
Leah has a summer-time sound but lyrics are pre-school uncool. Also, not sure her voice is gonna hold-up on its own without the slick production, and by that I mean be distinctive enough to compete with the female vocalists already out there.
Seems she’s just the latest piece of window dressing…
