Papoose Reveals to Hot 97’s Morning Show How He Crashed Summer Jam XX

Those in attendance and watching the live stream of Summer Jam XX are still wondering how Papoose managed to hit the main stage on Sunday night. The moment seemed unplanned and looked to have affected French Montana’s closing set which was cut off a few songs in due to weather concerns. On Monday morning, Hot 97’s morning show team of Cipha Sounds, Ebro, K-Foxx, and Peter Rosenberg explained what happened last night at MetLife Stadium.
Like last year’s fiasco with Nicki Minaj, it looks like Rosenberg is to blame. Kendrick Lamar, who has a past history with Papoose, ended his set five minutes early for the Brooklyn MC to perform his new single “Get At Me.” Pap later called into Hot 97 today and explained not only was his appearance planned, but the Hot 97 crew (minus Ebro) knew about the surprise.

Pap has his chance in the early 2000’s. Seems too late now. From what I’ve gathered by observing his career through the years, he’s sabotaged himself with too big an ego. So now he’s just a could-have-been.

I never said Pap was wack, but no one is taking him serious. I think a lot of it has to do with him being under Kay Slay. Kay thought he had a gold mine in Pap so he put the battery in pap´s back and kept charging it to the point pap´s ego got the better of him..
