Nipsey Hussle Shot & Killed In Los Angeles

Breaking news is currently coming from Los Angeles involving Nipsey Hussle. The Crenshaw native was reportedly shot multiple times outside of a retail store he owns on Sunday afternoon (Mar. 31). According to TMZ, multiple witnesses said the L.A. star was shot multiple times on the property of The Marathon Clothing Company, a store Nipsey owns and runs in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The status of Nipsey’s condition is currently unknown. Moments before the incident, Hussle tweeted “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”
The artist/entrepreneur enjoyed a breakout year in 2018, as his Victory Lap debut received critical acclaim leading up to it receiving a nomination at the GRAMMY Awards back in February. This story will continue to be updated.

At approximately 3:20 pm there was a shooting reported in the area of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd. 3 victims were transported to a local hospital where one was pronounced deceased. We have no suspect info at this time and will provide more details as they become available.

UPDATE #1: LAPD confirm that 3 people were shot in the incident. One person has died at the hospital while the status of the other 2 victims are unknown. It’s not known if the victim that passed away was Nipsey Hussle. Police are looking for one man who fled in a vehicle after the shooting.
UPDATE #2: Multiple law enforcement sources have confirmed to NBC News that Nipsey Hussle was pronounced dead in hospital. The 33-year-old leaves behind two kids, Kross Asghedom and Emani Asghedom.
Soon after news broke about Nipsey Hussle’s murder, the entertainment industry took to social media to pay their respects to the late rapper, real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom. Rihanna, Nas, Pharrell Williams, Drake, Meek Mill, Miguel, Pusha T, Just Blaze, Gary Vee, 21 Savage, Lupe Fiasco, Raekwon, Styles P and more expressed their condolences to the Crenshaw star.
