During All-Star Weekend 2019 the NBA had a busy three days of festivities in Charlotte including fan appreciation events, panels, press conferences and more. At a recent tech summit, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver revealed that he is set to change the jersey game with the help of modern technology.

Dubbed as the ‘jersey of the future,’ it was reported the new piece of fan gear will allow consumers to change the player’s name and number anytime they wish after purchase. To give a preview, Silver instantly changed a jersey on stage from Stephen Curry (#30) to Michael Jordan (#23) with the push of a button. This would make it easier for fans to rep their favorite player even after a trade or new signing, and benefit NBA players as well. However, since the news broke, the innovative fashion has received mixed reviews all around.
