You already know how I feel about Nas’ 1994 debut Illmatic…but I can’t rave enough about this film that Erik Parker, One9, Martha Diaz and others devoted 10 years to make. Along with the rare Nas footage…the larger story about what it was like to be a kid in the Queensbridge projects in the early 90’s is fascinating, heartbreaking, and inspiring. Seriously.
