Nas and Miss Info x Hennessy #WildRabbit Adventure (Video)
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Videos[8] Comments

The Missinfo.tv family has been riding with Nas throughout his first Hennesey x Wild Rabbit partnership. From the launch and live Facebook Q&A in Times Square, to the Grammy’s in LA where Nas and Henny held a private dinner, all the way to brazil where Nas rocked Lollapalooza, we were there. But don’t think 2013 was the start of Info and Nas’ relationship, hip-hop nerds know she was the one to give Illmatic its game-changing 5mic review, when The Source Magazine was still relevant. Take a look at the behind-the-scenes footage captured on Nas’ voyage to Brazil and the Hennessy’ distilleries in France.

Nas is by far one of my favorite rappers of all time but hands down he is the biggest hypocrites as well. I remember an Mtv Diary he once did where he claimed he wouldn’t support any alcohol beverages because it was the wrong reflection to the youth. Well here we are years later.. Cheers Henny

I see what you mean, but i think hypocrite is the wrong word. Looking further at that video, im sure Nas isnt buying those same big puffy jackets either lol; so i would say that Nas is regular guy that has varying views on things the same way that the rest of us do.
He chooses to show all of those views even if over time they change. Its just part of growth and becoming an adult. i certainly dont wear my clothes as large as i used to because that doesnt fit into my lifestyle anymore.
also, the core of Nas fan base are adults who are able to purchase and enjoy alcohol legally.
All in all, i still feel Nas is one of the last truly genuine artists of our time and he continues to be great.

Hypocrite (noun) a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
No. I’ll stick with my claim. And so with that being said I do agree with most of your points. Change is something that is inevitable with humans. However, with great power comes great responsibility. A mission that is so powerful such a choice not to endorse alcohol products should never be comprised. Nas has the ability to reach the culture at a broader scale than just your average artist. He’s not the first nor the last artist to go down this road. When I saw Rakim years ago in a Hennessey advertisement I sadly shook my head. Why? Because I knew that a corporate organization got their way. These organizations are hip to it and know that the easiest way to market to our culture is through our icons.
Alcohol whether you want to believe it or not is the biggest drug in our inner cities. I’ve seen and heard too many instances where bad choices have been made because they were under the influence. Not to mention all of the health hazards that are associated. Where do you find the majority of liquor stores? The hood. And that’s something that’s never going to change until we as a community do.
I’ve realized long ago that I ask too much from my favorite artists. We don’t live in a perfect world but it never hurts to have wishful thinking, right?

There is a difference between changes in fashion and his stance on alcohol. I’m disappointed but I also can see how his lack of business acumen got him in this situation to begin with ie prenuptial with Kelis
