Riding high off her spotlight-stealing Super Bowl performance, which quickly catapulted three songs into the top 10 of the iTunes chart, the legendary rapper called into Sway In The Morning yesterday for her first interview since her recent resurgence.

Right off the bat, Missy talked about her Super Bowl performance, which she admitted gave her anxiety attacks for the first time in her 20-year career. “I prayed all the way to the stage,” she joked. Missy also thanked Katy Perry for choosing an older artist like herself to join her on stage, and for letting her perform her own hits and not just the pair’s “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” collaboration.
