Rick Ross Lands in a Helicopter from Halo Media Entertainment on Vimeo.
Satin! White pants! Linen! Heli-chopper! Skrippers! Flashing lights! Khaled! Busta! Woman patting her blond weave!
These are the trappings of success. Ross dropped in from the sky at Miami’s King of Diamonds stripclub, a virtual lapdance and pole-twirl megamall, and partied alongside Trina, Busta Rhymes and more for his Teflon Don release.
Check out photos from the party…
(UPDATE: also footage of Ross performing “Live Fast Die Young”…)

Most learn from the past, to deal with the present and prepare for the future.
Rawse needs to pay attention and learn from MC Hammer, Will Smith, Dame Dash, Suge Knight, TLC, Scott Storch and countless others who allowed their expenses to exceed their income.
If not, he shall become one of the many raising their right hand, under oath, stating “I am incapable of paying my creditors….”

i wish somebody would shot that make a movie phrase. that shit is the worse now

Hate is not a good look for anyone. Its HIS money. Let him do what HE wants with it. Its a shame that even though we have one life to live that its EXPECTED to carry all this wealth to the grave. So in conclusion…… Support a brother. He could be robbing or killing. Support all artists. Check the mans records… He definitely has good music in the age of downloading and bootleg. Just my opinion.
July 21st, 2010 at 2:41 pm
all of that is under Def Jam’s budget!
July 21st, 2010 at 3:22 pm
for some reason i find all of this very sad
July 21st, 2010 at 4:38 pm
Rick Ross is one of the best comedic rappers we’ve got in hip-hop. I watch his videos and burst out laughing. The reaction to LeBron taking his skills to Miami, hysterical.
The album Teflon Don is an incredible piece of work, all Rick Ross albums seem to new and refreshing and nothing like the old.
Favorite tracks on the album “Aston Martin Music”, “No.1”, “B.M.F” “Free Mason” Jay-Z killed that track, R.I.P to the mic he used to spit those bars.
I give Teflon Don 7.5/10 which is pretty good. Ricky Rozay is clearly living out his dreams while BLowing Money Fast lol!

cause it is lls

I dont think people are hating its just he’s kinda late Jay-z 50 and countless other marque artist have done the helicopter thing. *shrug* i= from this view he seems to be late to the party figuratively and realistically. His music is ok but its muted with his constant caricature and ever changing persona he keeps trying to roll out. This dudes had more soft openings than a pinkberry. I hope he saves his money because im counting 14:59 my dude
July 21st, 2010 at 6:16 pm
I’m sure some is and some isn’t. Do research on the above artists, the budget covers but so much.
July 21st, 2010 at 6:20 pm
LOL….It’s definitely not about Hate! I don’t even know what to say in regards to your carrying money to the grave comment. As one who has a degree in finance, all I can do is shake my damn head…..
July 21st, 2010 at 7:23 pm
For the person saying at least he isnt robbing or killing anybody. Aye, he damn sure acts like he does in every damn record. Anyways, thats not def jam nor Ross money that DIDDY MONEY right there! Only Diddy would do some shit like this for an artist he promotes cause he expects to be paid back in spades. Yall must have forgot about the shiny suits when the Lox was wearing them? Or better yet that baller documentary for a rap video “been around the world”? Either yall forgot what Diddy does when he get a artist or yall haven’t been rap fans for a long time. This is Diddy at his best …making a nigga look good and then making him pay for it!
July 21st, 2010 at 7:27 pm
Well..Your gonna have to count pass 15 genius cuz 15 minutes of fame DOES NOT get you to FOUR ALBUMS!!! And I don’t even like Rick the Cops Music like that “Hustlin” came out in 2006 homie…and he still here. Drske on the other hand……
July 21st, 2010 at 7:38 pm
hmm, 1/2 of expenses paid by Def Jam n the other paid for by Diddy???
July 21st, 2010 at 7:40 pm
I agree.. The helli intro is way played. Music is ok. Its what different people do in different situations. Hint TPain and his Nuvo chain. lol
July 21st, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Congrats to you and your Finance Degree. I do have a Degree myself. In Drafting and Design. My point in that is he wont see the money when he is dead. Im pretty sure his kids are set already. Unfortunately I dont think Ross has an Degree. Money like that doesnt come to people like him in a lifetime. So what do you think he would do? Spend it. Hate, was not in reference to you. But since it hit nerve….. Its all good. Like I said. Its my opinion.
July 21st, 2010 at 7:48 pm
Thats funny. Yea he is very comical. The one with Kanye speaks for itself. He definitely not thinking long term.
July 21st, 2010 at 7:49 pm
It might. All his albums except one did. Especially in the world of bootleg. Thats not bad.
July 21st, 2010 at 7:52 pm
And normal people say the same thing. Look its all a cycle. Money will be spent. Im sure he owns his publishing. So income will be coming in.
July 21st, 2010 at 7:52 pm
How so?
July 21st, 2010 at 7:57 pm
LOL Point well taken…
July 21st, 2010 at 8:02 pm
That would be me. Acting and actually doing it is two different things. The only thing Diddy is doing is Management. I dont think managing is the same thing as owning the artist or the artist owning Diddy X amount of Albums. Def Jam owns Ross.
July 21st, 2010 at 10:15 pm
People will buy a fabricated lifestyle if the lyrics or the charisma back it up. I’m not seeing either here. Mildly capable raps backed by strong production, with zero unique content. But I do have an open mind.
Can a Ross fan name me one song we will remember 5 years from now? Not even just an incredible song, just a memorable one that will ring off in a club. Hustlin? BMF? Maybach Music? I’m just not hearing classics.
Put it this way: I don’t believe Drakes persona for a second either, but the music is there. Pull an average dude off the street and give him Drakes lyrics to spit, he’ll make an impression. Not so for Ross.

So True…Now what does it take to feel secure?/A place with wooden floors and space to put awards/ A couple of parking spots and maids to do the chores/The cars you always wanted the women that you adore – You know You Know – Drizzy
July 21st, 2010 at 11:14 pm
Wow! U guys r nuts… if u like him or not u still have to respect his hustle…dude makes good music…production and lyric wise he never fails.. and who gives a sh*t how much money he blows its his money! It ain’t yours…that’s such a pointless issue…I can’t stand pretenious hiphop snobs…get a grip…like why waste ur time and energy bashing sum1… if I dnt like an artist I Keep it movin not sit there wasting my time and energy on them…idk I’m not tryin to be rude just my 2 sense… oh and p.s. I know if u play hustlin in any regular ass urban club 5 yrs from now ppl will still be goin crazy…that beat is to hard to ignore….
July 22nd, 2010 at 12:56 am
To me hustlin is a classic I mean that song came out in 06 and people know the words when it comes on in the club and in my opinion deeper than rap would have been a classic album if all that CO stuff wasn’t revealed around the time it came out
As far as fabricated lyrics go i’m fairly certain many rappers stretch the truth. I mean NWA were all regular guys except Eazy E selling drugs, Jayz called out Nas lying about his tec on the dresser on the takeover, and I know Raekwon has never done all the gambino shit he’s rapped about just to name a few.
July 22nd, 2010 at 3:07 am
look Rick Ross or Ricky Rozay or big Meech or the ghost of Christoper Wallace what ever he goes by these days is a clown, who happens to pick descent beats and for some reason Def jam has bet the farm on him ( hands in th air ) I repeat is a clown ok can he rap? yeah, did he have a shot at greatness? fuck yeah before Curtis he definitely had a shot, with the Jay-z co-sign, and the strength of that hustling track, yeah, but these days the more he talks the more the chinks in the armor show and anyone who follows this nut also exposes themselves to the same ridicule. If you enjoy Ricky by all means this is america you have that right but you also have eliminated yourself from any rational hip hop discussion in the future i’m sorry If you follow this dude down that rabbit dont get pist when people no longer value your opinion on shit.
July 22nd, 2010 at 3:10 am
fronting is always sad my dude if you have to front at this level what does that say about you
Insecurity is not a sexy or attractive trait to have = sad
July 22nd, 2010 at 8:44 am
I don’t think the helicopter was suppose to land, I think ric weight brought it back down.
July 22nd, 2010 at 8:58 am
how did they get his fat ass on a helicopter?
July 22nd, 2010 at 9:43 am
@ mustafa… I dont think Ive said anything to effect that I like RR. I enjoy music, Period. Mostly Hip Hop. Production of a song is also a good thing for me. In any event.. Look man.. I dont expect you or anyone one to take in consideration of what I say. Im speaking on facts that I know of and opinions. The whole industry, whether its music, movies, sports, anything. Its about persona. Selling yourself to make your money. In RR case or anybody in the industry if that what it takes to make you, your brand, your music move. Make money. By all means do it. See.. In this day and age now… Im all about giving much respect to my brother that is making good money and doing whateva he can to keep it coming in. In the end this whole thing is a business to the artist, first. Its almost like acting. You have to play a role that makes you attractive to your audience aka people that buy RR music. Shoot Rap in general. I respect that we can have debate about this topic. Some of your views I agree. Some I dont. Take my opinions seriously??? It dont bother me none if you do or you dont.
July 22nd, 2010 at 10:20 am
As Jay Z has said ” Everybody want to tell you how to do it , when they have never done it…”
Funny how all these rap experts on here that have never had a successful career in the music bizness…Let Live and stop trying to live through your favorite rapper you love to hate….lol
As diddy said “Hate” is for suckaz..Just appreciate good music….
July 22nd, 2010 at 11:38 am
If that is the case black why Def Jam didn’t do it with the last album?
You gotta remember Diddy might have much money as Def Jam by this point. I would doubt that Def Jam would spend gawp to give Ross a helicopter just for a album release party. But Diddy would though!
I ain’t saying Def Jam don’t own Ross. All i was saying once you start fucking with Diddy shit like this happens.
Mase – P.Diddy Made me pretty
July 22nd, 2010 at 12:15 pm
@ Mustafa ur taking it too seriously, opinions are like a-holes everybody’s got 1. Ross doesnt make crap music. If ur going to go through authenticity of who does what all these rappers don’t cook up nothing they got chef’s and cooks if u get what i mean alll they do is sell music and potray a lifestyle.
The helicopter thing is just marketing to get people on networking to continue to talk about Rick Ross, period plus he’s having fun, no harm done.
Thats like going to a wedding and seeing the bride and groom drive away in a limo and u on he curb saying its played out lol.
July 22nd, 2010 at 12:52 pm
I know people dis-like(hate) for no reason but some of you sound like little b!tches why are you watching the man money? Or his life? if you not fascinated by him just to read nothing of his and they wont post it and dont buy his album and he wont make it , ont go to his concerts etc (get my point?) He is worth well over 10million you think a “heli- chopper” ride is gonna brake him? thats like $1,000 the most is a paid $350 for me and my ex to site see over manhattan and that at 50k a year salary.. if you like him for his music ok , but ” what he eats dont make you shit” so stop talking about another person dealings or ways, not just him anyone in life do something with your own like and then you can live it how you want
July 22nd, 2010 at 12:54 pm
I couldnt have said it better, JT.
July 22nd, 2010 at 1:01 pm
I dont know really. But I do agree on the Diddy signature all over RR. When they first hooked up all I can think of Mase. Then I shook my head. lol But I read that RR wanted to hook up with Diddy just for that purpose anyway. They way Diddy thinks. Im Definitely not a Diddy fan. But I sure respect his thinking about business and making money. Regardless how he does it. You cant be mad how he has been doing it for lets see if Im correct at this… Im just guessing.. 18 years?? Correct me if Im wrong.. But 18 years of making millions I would want you to manage me too. lol
July 22nd, 2010 at 1:28 pm
HMMMM I REMEMBER SEEING DIE HARD 3 END LIKE THIS LOL
July 22nd, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Agree with the point about hating, does no good.
Disagree that the music is “good music”. Like I said above, if the lyrics are ehhh, and the content is fabricated, what you are really listening to is beats and features.
July 23rd, 2010 at 1:58 pm
I respect you and Bagatti boys passive aggressive text but you’ve just proved my point your opinions are null and void and your opinions are no longer relevant because of the nature of the subject (hip hop) try sports because you’ve jumped the shark homie smh
July 28th, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Generally I would define good music as music that’s entertaining, takes you to a place or time ect, makes you dance/want too dance… puts you in a mindset…
Rap/Hip Hop has always been about being able to tell a story (lyrics) or portaying a thought/Mindset at a particular point in time….fabricated, true or false…about getting the listener/audience to that place where they feel as though they are there or can be that person or even Relate ect….”when that song is playing.” at that point in time…
The problem is not the ARTIST it’s the INDIVIDUAL thats dumb enough to think ” Ice T said f*#k the Police I’m gonna go shoot up some police” or ” Jay Z said women are Ho’s so I gonna call all women bitches or Ho’s”.
“IT’S THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS PEOPLE”
