Lil Wayne’s “I Am Not A Human Being II’ Album Cover (By DONDA)
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Photos[13] Comments
After producing 2 Chainz’s Based On A TRU Story cover art last year, DONDA is back with their next creation. This time Lil Wayne tapped Kanye’s creative company to help bring his I Am Not A Human Being 2 album cover to life. The simplistic cover only carries some sort of bee or wasp with no words or letters. This reminds me of the art from The Crow movie, which starred Bruce Lee’s son, Brandon. (Maybe Slience of the Lambs as well?)
The album will be released on March. 26.
Check out the Donda designed art for “Love Me” after the jump…

this just looks like sabotage. no title, no sign of artist name. Are consumers really expected to memorise that cover and look for it in stores. On the plus side, it has got a sticky factor to it.
kanye needs to realise he cannot solve every world issue with this donda project.

So being critical equates to ignorance. Or am I forgetting something. I really don’t see the appeal to the artwork or the thinking behind it. I suppose to be opinionated will always jerk someone off.

This cover represents how the album’s gonna be and his current string of music all together. WACK. Good job Donda.

1st:
lmao! @ “some sort of bee or wasp”
Where did Mikey Fresh go to school? I swear, every post of his I read some form of ignorance.
2nd:
Donda literally stole the moth from Silence of the Lambs and photoshopped it.
3rd:
North London UK is right. From a marketing point, this is terrible.

Actually, it’s the furthest from an ignorant statement. I’ve worked in marketing for years, and this is terrible thought out from a B2C (business to consumer) point of view.

I thought of the cicada from Silence of the Lambs immediately when I saw the art, without even scrolling down. I think that’s what Ye is referencing. I also thought of butterflies signifying resurrection (red, of course, to signify Wayne’s so-called gang affiliation, which defeats the purpose of the resurrection imagery, but whatever).
