Lil’ Boosie is finally a free man. The Baton Rouge-native was released from a Louisiana State Penitentiary on Wednesday night, according to WAFB Channel 9. Warden Burl Cain confirmed the rapper, real name Torrence Hatch, was released at 7:10 p.m. EST and later transferred to a sheriff’s department facility in St. Francisville where family members waited for his arrival.
Boosie had been incarcerated since 2009 for a third-offense marijuana possession charge, as well as a probation violation. WAFB reveals the rapper is scheduled to attend a news conference in New Orleans on Monday, organized by Atlantic Records. A message from Boosie’s daughter below.

Wtf r u talking about nigga means king?!!! Nigga means nigga bottom line andr egardless of how happy she may be about her dad coming home this damn sure is not how a child should be talking and the fact that some adult approved this message shows the ignorance that she is surrounded by. What is a 4 or 5 year old being taught that she can say something like “the streets is his?”
