Mikey: Here’s a better quality clip of Ms. Hill performing “Lost Ones” over Timb & Drizzy’s “Say Something” instrumental at this year’s Harmony Festival in CA. It’s crazy to hear L Boogs goin’ in over that beat. Please God, let Lauryn release some new music this year. (Props HardknockTV)

She is a legend aswell as a pioneer but I dont think she will ever reach that peak that she was, miseducation was shit hot, In her peak if there was a follow up it would of been amazing

OK OK Think about this everybody goes mad over the Tupac and Biggie debate.
what makes people think that Tupac and Biggie if they where around today they would be the hottest out, No whack rapper would see the light of day but hold on Lauryn Hill is a prime example she was at the top of her game no one could tell her nothing, Got the crowd hype, Fans buzzin off her rythem and lyrics then just faded away, whack singers and rappers have come and gone and she aint said nothing, What makes you think Two men would have changed the game. People you have got to stop living in the past, Magic of Tupac and Biggie was in a era

I loved MISEDUCATION of LAURYN HILL but I cant cosign all this over the top respect she gets. Its been way too long to think that her material will be relevant. She was successfully sued for failing to properly credit people who obviously helped create a lot of MISEDUCATION. LAURYN’s time has passed. Nice to see she is doing ok but Im not breathlessly anticipating another release. I heard the last couple of followups and they were horrible (can u say MTV anyone). Stop sweating her so hard. Its become the cool thing to do along with acting like DETOX is going to be some groundbreaking album.

Didn’t even like Miseducation. Thought it was corny in ’98 or whatever it was just like I hated the Fugees in ’96 (or whatever it was.) Overrated, overrated, overrated. Hip-hop needed a break post Pac/Big and ate up the first “positive” thing that came along. No vocal range and she can barely spit. Please.

This chick is like the female Dr. Dre! LMAO. She put out two classic albums like Andre (well, he put out Snoop’s and his own debuts)…then a lot of insane negro silliness ensued…and then empty broken promises…then rumors, gossip…lackluster material and performances 10+ years later when the money starts drying up and contractual obligations HAVE to be realized because they’re silently faced with litigation if they don’t do more albums…ugh. Such a life that you get paid all kinda crazy money to do what you love…sickens me.
