Kanye West ‘Yeezus’ (Official Album Cover) + “Bound” Snippet

Kanye West is going against the grain with his anticipated sixth solo album Yeezus. Arriving in three weeks, it has been confirmed that ‘Ye’s new LP won’t be available for pre-order, making it a straight purchase on its release date of June 18. Thanks to DJ Semtex, here’s the official album cover different than the photo released earlier this month.
A CD in a clear jewel case with the tracklisting on a sticker is what fans will receive next month. UPDATE: Kanye West confirms DONDA-designed the cover on his website, along with new projection locations for “New Slaves” this weekend. Once you click on the artwork, a 13-second snippet of a song “Bound” plays.

See this is how a man does his best to indulge in his own hype. everything that he supposedly fights against in terms of the media and paparazzi is the hype he’s built up. He’s a dope MC and a dope Producer but one thing that he made out weight those two thing is the fact that he’s an Egomaniac. In anything he’s done or attended he cant just be regular an unnoticed. So it becomes his curse when he’s just being regular. He’s the victim of his own ‘Monster’.

What exactly are you guys mad about? The one rapper who does something different and when he does he’s pretentious for it?? You’d respect him more if he did the same ol’ shit that every other rapper does? Why would ANYONE want to go regular and unnoticed??
As far as the album artwork, does it even matter anymore?? Who still buys CDs?? The rest of y’all are probably gonna steal it anyways, so what’s the point in spending money on artwork.

Can y’all let the man live? I like the simplicity he’s going for here, after his last few albums being extravagant in terms of artwork, I like that he’s stepping back from that and just making it about the music.
With that being said, I love the snippet–love that soulful Kanye. Hopefully we get to hear more of this, soon. CAN NOT WAIT for the album!

Doing something different doesn’t make him pretentious; his claims of importance and distinction above all else are what makes him pretentious.
He’s insecure, but attempts to mask it with arrogance. This is the guy who compared the public’s disdain for him to Adolf Hitler. I mean, come on, you gotta see the pretentiousness in that, homie.
As far as being regular and unnoticed goes, they’re probably just talking about him allowing his work to speak for itself because he has no humility. Every time he speaks it’s either a rant or he’s raving about himself. Hints, Rhyme & Reason calling him an egomaniac. I consider him a wannabe martyr though.

True. The media tries to create a person’s “brand” by their public persona/personality. An artist would rather just have their “brand” represented by their work.
