Kanye West, who has never shied away from speaking his mind, finally addressed the outcome of the Presidential election last night, but it wasn’t what most of us wanted to hear. During his Saint Pablo tour stop in San Jose, CA, Kanye admitted he didn’t cast a vote in last week’s election, but if he did, he would have voted for Donald Trump.

“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted for Trump,” Ye told the crowd. He also said he admired Trump’s campaign: “There’s nonpolitical methods to speaking that I like, that I feel were very futuristic. And that style, and that method of communication, has proven that it can beat a politically correct way of communication. And I fuck with that.” He added, “I actually think that his approach was absolutely genius. Because it fucking worked!”

However, that wasn’t even the most controversial thing Kanye said during the concert. Mr. West also explained how he thinks black people need to get over racism. “Specifically to black people, stop focusing on racism,” he said. “This world is racist, OK? Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a fucking fact: we are in a racist country. Period. Do not allow people to make us talk about that so fucking long.”

Kanye also confirmed his plans to run for President in 2020 and emphasized the importance of updating the education system. However, last night wasn’t the best start to his campaign. According to many fan reports, Kanye continually cut songs short to continue his rant, which lasted as long as 40 minutes throughout the three-hour performance. Towards the end, many fans grew restless and eventually walked out. Some fans even threw stuff at Kanye.

UPDATE: In an extended video of Kanye’s rant (watch below) he clarifies that, despite wanting to vote for Trump, “that don’t mean that I don’t think that black lives matter. That don’t mean that I don’t believe in women’s rights. That don’t mean that I don’t mean in gay marriage. That don’t mean that I don’t believe in these things because that’s the guy that I wanted to vote for.”
