Kanye West stole the show at the annual TIME 100 Gala in New York City on Tuesday evening. As one of the chosen 100 most influential people, according to the magazine, Yeezy was the surprise performer at the Lincoln Center event.
He made a statement with several half-naked black men dressed in rags and white chalk walking out with him, and entered the stage to James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” — then went immediately went into “All Day,” followed by “Black Skinhead,” “New Slaves” and “Blood on the Leaves.” Yeezus continued with “Runaway” and a captivating performance of “Only One.”
‘Ye reportedly had the whole crowd grooving to his sounds and even stopped to ask everyone to rise up for “Touch The Sky.” Kim and a host of celebs were seen bouncing to his closing songs, “Good Life” and “Goldigger.”
