It feels like there’s no end to Kanye’s soapbox speeches right about now. But during a recent interview with Philly’s Power 99 last week, Yeezus gave fans a welcome update on the new music (aside from launching another verbal assault on corporations and the media, of course).

Although it’s only in the very early stages, Ye announced that he’s started work on his next solo album and aims to drop it by next summer. He also hinted that G.O.O.D. Music might still release Cruel Winter at some point, while he and Jay Z have yet to get in the studio for the much-discussed Watch the Throne 2. That “Black Skinhead” remix featuring Miley Cyrus is still coming, too.

“My main focus is to get this product line out,” Kanye clarified, adding that it’ll arrive next September. He also talked about wanting to shift his focus from fashion to education in five years’ time, being a “Christian Revolutionary Visionary” and comparing Kendrick Lamar’s writing style to that of Hov and Andre 3000 (which surely means they’ve been in the lab together, no?).
