Musicians’ depositions are the stuff of Internet gold. Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber‘s respective examinations will go down in history as prime examples of famous artists throwing it back in the system’s face. And you didn’t think Kanye West’s would be any less entertaining, did you?

TMZ got their hands on a portion of the transcript from Ye’s deposition regarding his 2013 paparazzi assault case, and as you can imagine, he was hardly a shrinking violet in the court room. In addition to shitting on Nate Goldberg, the photographer’s lawyer (“I’m in the business of trying to make dope shit for the world. You’re in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there’s this lapse in the law”), Kanye swore under oath that, “I’m the smartest celebrity you’ve ever fucking dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.”

Also, when asked about his residence, he replied, “Earth.”

However, it wasn’t all unprovoked hostility. Kanye seemed to get pretty offended when Goldberg brought up some lyrics to “Flashing Lights” and recited them, well, N-word for N-word. “You have to ask for a hall pass,” he said according to the report. “You can’t just say the N-word around me. It offends me because you’re a white person saying ‘n***a.'”

When asked by Goldberg if the struggles of modern day celebrities compare with those of the civil rights era, Kanye answered, “Yes, 100… I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities.” He added, “I mean in the ’60s people used to hold up ‘Die N****r’ signs when my parents were in the sit-ins also.”

Needless to say, the full tape needs to be uploaded stat. We’ll update the post when, or if, it does.
