With Yeezy Season fast approaching, it’s only right that Tim Westwood dips into his Kanye West archives for this week’s Throwback Thursday instalment. In this never-before-seen freestyle from 2004 (just before The College Dropout dropped), a young but nevertheless confident Ye goes in over the “Slow Jamz,” “Change Clothes” and “Stand Up” instrumentals as Dame and Biggs watch their young rook do his thing. His rhymes would end up on various songs, including Dwele’s “Hold On” remix, Dilated Peoples’ “This Way” and Jadakiss’ “Gettin It In.”
